@scape-willows
Oh! Hi! I’m Scape!
You seem like the perfect person to be thrown off a cliff. I don't know, the thought just came to me. I did say I would have some fun, so I might as well.
He picks Scape up by the horns, in a way that makes it impossible to be swung at or kicked, at least in the chest and head area.
Now where is the nearest cliff?
Huh? Hey-!
OW! OWOWOWOWOW THOSE ARE SENSTITIVE! *he bites his lip to keep from crying* HOW ARE YOU EVEN HOLDING THEM THEY’RE TINY!?
DO NOT THROW ME OFF A CLIFF.
Oh, it won't take too long. And I wouldn't throw you off a lethal cliff, just one that would severely injure you. Might as well just start walking until I find one, although it might look suspicious to a traveler if they see an odd looking stranger holding a reptile kid by the horns. Oh well, there's not much trouble most civilians can cause anyway. Just gotta start doing something.
Don’t worry about people trying to stick up for me, so far not many folks around here have been very nice….Matter of fact, some of ‘em might volunteer to help you… *Despite the resigned bitterness of his words, he’s still struggling, wincing as his still sensitive horns are jostled*
Well, that's sad. Better to put you out of your misery then. Don't want you suffering too much, right?
NO! UNHAND ME! I HAVE TO FIND THEM! I’M THE ONLY ONE LEFT! BAIZYL IS GONE SO I HAVE TO FIND MY VILLAGE! I BITE! LET GO! *kicks at your shins*
If you don’t let me go on safe solid ground, I’ll call one of the people outside my village who wasn’t terrible to me!

Hm? Valley bird found dead?
…Wait, isn’t that Baizyl’s stage name?!
Baizyl’s…dead?

H-hey…I know it’s been a bit…I wanted to see how you were
- @scape-willows
*He looks over at the newcomer, recognizing him. He lifts his arm and types on his bracelet.
I’m fine. How are you?
*He has no open wounds, but there are new holes in his tunic, though he did his best to wash out the blood.
I’ve been better…my head hurts a ton…who knew growing horns could be so painful?
*Birdie nods in understanding, eyeing the horns in question.
Do you know why they started growing?
Not even remotely. But hey, I basically sprouted other reptilian features overnight when I was twelve, why not wake up with horns a little over four years later?

Goat
Goat???
Where???
*yawn*
Huh? OW!
What’s on my head?
*She lets you rest for a while after you eat, and when you wake up next she has a map in her hands, and a glass of water*
-@malon-oflonlon
Th-thank you
Yer welcome.
*she flattens out the map on the table and circles near the centre of the creased paper with her finger* Lon Lon Ranch--or us--is right there. Does anythin' on 'ere seem familiar to ya?
*lightly taps an unlabeled valley a few inches away from the circled center* The Valley of Ethel. In its center is Zielle. Home. *takes a sip of water*
'Right then. It's yer choice but I'd like it if ya weren't goin' back there alone considering th' state ya came in. I think my father's supposed to make his first delivery somewhere in th' valley soon, but I dunno if that would be as quickly as tomorrow, or days from now.
I also gotta make a trip to Castletown sometime today to restock on potions. If ya'd like to go alone, comin' with me might be a good idea an' we can get ya some potions jist in case.
My village seldom got any visitors, and the little ones always got very excited to meet new people. If we can find my village, I can make sure the little ones don’t bury him in a wave of kids.
Getting some new potions would be good. I have some potions that numb pain, but that’s it. Plus I hate taking the pain numbing potions.
*she laughs brightly* I'm sure he'd appreciate that, though between you an' me, I'd rather that then him fallin' asleep as soon as he's done deliverin'. It's a miracle he gets back at the ranch before evenin' sometimes.
If ya feel up to it, I'd like to leave jist before noon. That way we can make it back ‘round early evenin’
Yep, nothing like a wave of little kids ready to ask you a million questions to wake you up.
Yeah, leaving before noon should work
*her thoughts drift to her future, but she doesn't let herself spiral. She nods* Ah, do ya have an extra pair of clothes? I can try to wash th' blood out but, *her tone turns a bit sad* there's quite a lot of it.
Yeah, I have some extra clothes I can wear.
Awesome! I'll leave ya to it then, for now. I need to go tend to a bit of chores outside. If ya need anythin', holler!
Thank you! *he smiled gratefully*
*time stretches on, and Malon comes back in a little late, at noon before she ushers you to follow her outside, setting a comfortable pace and mutters something about…Zelda…? A portal? Then she asks,* Have ya ever been to Castletown before?
Not really, no. *He stays close to Malon, his hood over his head and tail out of sight*
Castletown is a bustling place full of markets an’ people. I don’t think yer th’ type, but I’ll let ya know wanderin’ off will get ya into trouble. There’s plenty of guards around too. I know exactly where the potions stall is, so jist try an’ stick next to me, ‘kay?
Okay *He nodded, the stone on his cloak glowing pink before he stuffs it under his shirt*
*she notices and seeing how tense he is, doesn’t mention it* Could ya tell me more about that village a’ yours? Sounds like a lovely lil’ place.
It really was. Its founders and their mother decided that those with magical abilities and those who supported them deserved a safe place to live and thrive. Their mother gave her life protecting them, so they vowed that no one else they cared about would die protecting magic users and their allies. So they took my ancestors to the valley, and built the village on celebrating differences. Zielle was the oldest, and my ancestors named the village after her after she passed. Mizen was the middle child, and kept many people alive with his remedies. And Aaida was the youngest, and it is said that she could send bright, beautiful colors that only magic users and their allies could see. She loved to sing, so we have the Aaida party every year to celebrate the founding of our village. It’s a day of singing, and dancing, and telling stories, and playing games, and feasting. It’s probably my favorite day of the year.
*she smiles warmly as she listens* I can understand why you’d wanna go back.
*they walk and arrive at Castletown. Malon nods to the guard and they lower the bridge, though she seems a little confused as they head inside. Sure enough, Castletown is filled with people and stalls. Malon weaves through, ignoring a salesperson shouting for her to come over and buy something*
My village is a lovely place. *he smiled fondly at the memories*
*He stuck close to Malon, keeping quiet and keeping his head down*
Almost there *she reassure before she spots the potion stall but gets shoved by a stranger in a hurry*
*helps her up* Are you okay?
Yeah, thank ya hon *she seems irritated but heads over to the stall anyway. There’s a row of red potions and then green potions. Then cartons hidden behind the shopkeeper. She takes a box of red carton and two bottles of green potion.*
We’ll sort this out later, but is there anything here, or somewhere else ya’d like to check out?
*he shook his head no*
*she thinks for a moment, and then starts heading out of Castletown*
*he follows after her*
*She lets you rest for a while after you eat, and when you wake up next she has a map in her hands, and a glass of water*

*She lets you rest for a while after you eat, and when you wake up next she has a map in her hands, and a glass of water*

Th-thank you
