Charles Bukowski
do not carry the worry of this world, for it belongs to Allah
ولا تحمل هم الرزق فإنه من الله do not carry the worry of provision, for it is from Allah
ولا تحمل هم المستقبل فإنه بيد الله do not carry the worry of the future, for it is in the hands of Allah
فقط احمل همًا واحدًا only carry one concern..
كيف تُرضي الله؟ how can you please Allah ?
لأنك لو أرضيت الله because if you please Allah
رضي عنك وأرضاك He will be pleased with you and please you
وأغناك وكفاك enrich you and suffice you.
[ابن القيِّم رحمه الله]
O you who believe! Be patient (persevere through what befalls you in the world in Allah’s cause); encourage each other to patience vying in it with one another and outdoing all others in it; and observe your duties to Allah in solidarity, and keep from disobedience to Allah in due reverence for Him and piety, so that you may prosper (in both worlds)!
Holy Qur’an, al-i Imran 200
He said: ‘describe to me the pleasures of Jannah’
He replied: ‘In it is the Messenger of Allah’

I used to think communication was the key until I realized comprehension is. You can communicate all you want with someone but if they don’t understand you, its silent chaos.
“Break in the hands of God, He’ll unbreak you. Break in the hands of people, you’ll remain forever broken. Break to no one, your heart will remain hard.”

مردم امد، مردم رفت كس نماند و كس به غير از خدا هم نميماند.
People came (and), people left But no one stayed And no one will stay, besides God
Majnun walked in front of a man that was praying and when the man finished he rebuked Majnun claiming that he’d distracted him.
Majnun simply replied, “My love for Layla is such that I don’t even know where I’m going let alone notice you praying here, yet you claim to love the one that you worship but a wandering man makes you forget your beloved, what kind of love is this?”
An old story goes about how a young man fell in love with a beautiful girl. This girl asked him to cut out his mothers heart and bring it to her if he wished to marry her. The man only thinking selfishly killed his mother, cut out her heart and ran towards the girl. On the way he tripped and the heart fell out of his hand, as he was getting up the heart called out “oh my son, did you hurt yourself when you fell?”
Such is the love of a mother but what about the one who stood during the night crying for you until their feet swelled up, who was stoned until blood caused their feet to stick to their sandals, the one who tied stones to their stomach to stand straight against the effects of severe hunger? This was Muhammad (SAW) who even on his death bed asked about you and you neglect what he left behind for you, we have caused his soul unrest.
- Maulana Tariq Jameel
“Tasawwuf in the time of the Prophet ﷺ was a reality without a name, now it’s a name without a reality.”
“When Imām Ahmad heard that someone had a baby girl he would say to them: “Congratulations for the Prophets were mostly fathers of daughters.”

Imam Ahmad was asked: “What’s the distance between us and the Throne of Ar-Rahman?”
He replied: “A sincere du'a from a sincere heart.”
