“Kind? Well that’s a word I’m not all too familiar with.” Scarett joked, laughing quietly at herself. Rude, pathetic, druggie, faggot, moron, the list went on, but kind was not one of them. At least not in about two years. Maybe that’s just because she hadn’t found anyone who was worthy of being in her company until then, but whatever it was, it felt pretty nice. “Thanks anyway though.”
The brunette scrunched up her nose as the other girl told her how easily she smelled it. Next time, she’d have to go away farther. Sure, it was dangerous, but she was more than capable of defending herself. Always had been and would be until the day she died. “Seriously? Only a few houses away? Next time I’ll just take my bowl and go for a walk or something.” She shrugged, licking her lips slowly as she watched the other girl. Kinsley was hot, and it was even more attractive to see her smoking. “Your nose definitely didn’t fail you. I’m very impressed.” She told her as she looked her over, a smirk forming on her face.
“I would be more than happy to go back to your place.” Surely it was for drinking and smoking purposes, but maybe she’d get lucky. Lord knows she needed it, and the other girl probably did as well. For the first time in ages, Scar prayed, and this one was that the stunning girl in front of her way gay. “Like.. a real, actual glass bong?” Her eyes lit up. The stupid homemade one was old and she had been meaning to make a new one, but maybe now she wouldn’t have to. “I am so in.” The girl informed her, standing up quickly and holding out her hand. “Let’s go.”
Kinsley smiled at the girl’s reaction, honestly and deep down it brought her joy but the other side of her was cautious. Unfortunately, she had to be, she didn’t have a good track record with the girls around here, there was nothing saying that this girl wouldn’t turn on her once they got into the privacy of her home. Perhaps luck will be on her side today, what did she have to lose these days anyway?
Scar’s hand was warm to her.. it sent a spark through her entire body to her spine. As much as she didn’t want to let go, she did anyway.
“It’s not far from here actually,” she said, turning west, sheilding her eyes from the sun, “see that big brick buildin’?” She asked, pointing down the hill and two the left, “my place is over there, I hope you’re not scared of heights,” Once upon a time she had been, but she got over the quickly once she realized that most of the infected couldn’t climb the fire escape. The only thing she had to fear was the halls. But, her feet headed in that direction despite the dangers.
“You said you’ve seen me ‘round?” she smiled, slipping the moonshine that she’d scooped up back into the water bottle compartment of her backpack. Her voice trailed up, making the sentence a question, “where at?”
