One thing I find interesting about w!Grian x sl!Scar is that it's interpretive, but with my interpertation, Scar is just longing for Grian Xelqua to come back while he's getting fed with false sweetness and kindness cause he sees Xel as the same Grian he knew before, while Xelqua is different, and doesn't fully love him back the way Grian did.

of course, when i first post a chapter, i post the first half/part the second part (the one where it gets a bit... suggestive is the second part aka the thing that was referenced in the first notes) so this chapter is (like all of them when i first post them) yet to be updated

also a highschool genderbent scarian au is in the works too! (with like three sentences but we're there somewhere okay)

Oooo okay, so I actually have this one that I was gonna write... but life happened so that never happened. But I may still write it!!

Heres the main concept without spoilers just in case I do write it (cause I want it to be kind of a mystery)

So,

Hundreds of years ago, the kingdom of Evo was a magical land, full of wizards, pixies, merfolk, and the usual fantasy peeps.

Wizards preformed tricks, pixies flew, merfolk supplied fresh water streams to the kingdom, etc.

It was a peaceful, magical time.

But then, chaos struck, and havoc happened. Magic was out of control - fires everywhere, the king dead, and Evo days away from collapse.

Then, from the heavens decended the all mighty "Watchers", who promised to restore Evo to greatness, but at a price. They swear loyalty to them and their laws.

And the people agree, and thus Evo is restored.

....but not completely.

Magic is gone. Wizards no longer can produce spells, Pixies have wings but cant fly, and merfolk can no longer sing or control the tides.

Surprisingly, most people dont mind. They saw the chaos that magic brought. And so they continue their lives as normal.

But the thing is, Evo literally lives off of magic. Magic is in its soil, it's air, it's water. Without magic, Evo dies.

The Watchers have been in turn feeding some of their magic into the earth to sustain it, save for every full moon once a month where they temporarily shut down all magic for a ceremony called the "Moon Out".

Why? Mmmm it's a mystery 👀✨️

But the thing is, lately, centuries after the Watchers begun their rule, magic seems to be slipping out of the soil of Evo.

One of the owners of Convex Antiques, Scar, a magic enthusiast, is quick to notice that.

The plants are wilting. The air is stuffy. The water supply is low.

But why is magic in Evo dying?

Well, that's what Scar is determined to figure out, and it is exactly why he plans to sneak into the Evo Palace as an employee and learn what exactly goes down every full moon.

Because he doesn't know why, but he has a feeling that the Watchers "prince", Xelqua, and his connection to the late "Scarlet Moon" have something to do with it.

Also yes there will be Scarian because yk, life necessities 🩷
