Hovering so close to her allows him an incredibly unobstructed view of her and those truly stunning azure eyes, eyes that upon closer inspection are surrounded by a ring of navy. He averts his gaze towards his hands, letting a small smile tugs at the corner of his lips because of all the tenants that drift through the front door, she just might be his favourite - even when she seemed to be nothing but a blur of vibrancy, tossing a wave over her shoulder before disappearing into the night without so much as a word. âSometimes it can be boring but.. i wouldnât say this is one of those nights.â No, her company is definitely not boring. He glided his fingers across his mouth, concealing the grin. The words she offers up are enough to have his mouth dipping into a frown, his brows pulling low over his caramel eyes. âNever liked that guy. Iâm just waiting for the day I get to throw him out on his ass.â It definitely would be worth the lashing from his boss. He ducked his head and with the sharp angles of his features hidden from the soft light, he appeared almost sheepish for a moment. The giggling parade of girls sashaying through the lobby spent a fair bit of time leaning over the counter, their lips curled flirtatiously and voices dripping saccharine, hoping to convince the doorman to join them. âYeah. I was promised body shots actually.â He rubbed his palm along the curve of the back of his neck. âI didnât promise Iâd show up though.â
The sudden down turn of rosebud lips doesnât go unnoticed to the girl, her eyes dancing around features that darken just a fraction. âNow, now, sweet Valerio -â She begins, tone light and airy, almost song-like. Throwing him into a sour mood was the last thing she had intended to do, âno need to pout about such things. Patience is a virtue. Heâll get whatâs coming to him. Iâd tell one of the twins that my ass was the latest victim of his notorious wandering eye, but theyâre so blinded by his fluffy blonde hair, theyâd never believe me.â There was a small shrug of her shoulders, âwe can only hope they see the light one day. Karma can be a beautiful thing. You do believe in karma, right?â Her lips twitch into the smallest of smirks, as she tosses her hair over the arm rest, letting brown disheveled locks tease the hardwood flooring. She isnât surprised about the parade of girls attempting to recruit him to their party with promises of body shots and other fun-filled things that involve tongues and mouths crashing together. After all, just because she's got a boyfriend doesn't mean she's gone blind. âBut you didnât flat out say no either?â She teases as she sinks more into the sofa, her hands crossing together over her stomach, âArenât you just the least bit curious about what happens at high school parties these days? Think Iâll get kicked out if I crash it?â Thereâs a small laugh that echoes from her lips as her eyes meet his, âor is it that you have better plans once your shift ends? -- Tell me, what does one Valerio do once he clocks out of doorman duties?â
