CHAPTERS 61-64 HAVE LEFT ME BROKEN AND UNABLE TO FUNCTION PROPERLY so here's another long rant about albert james moriarty that i have kept pent-up, part one of idk how many posts i will make after this PLEASE BEAR WITH ME I ONLY JUST FINISHED CH64 AND I CANT KEEP ALL OF THIS TO MYSELF

first off, these panels right here from chapter 61. you have no idea how much my heart broke. here, we see a flashback of albert's childhood and we see him talking to a boy and at first glance, albert felt relief to be able to talk about their aspirations in life without feeling the need to bring up their respective statuses.

AND IT JUST HURTS THE FUCK OUT OF MY FEELINGS WHEN IT WAS REVEALED THAT THE BOY'S INTENTION OF BEFRIENDING ALBERT WAS SOLELY BECAUSE OF HIS STATUS. AT SUCH A YOUNG AGE, HE ALREADY HAD HIS TRUST BROKEN. THE PAIN IN HIS EYES AFTER FINDING OUT ABOUT THIS BETRAYAL??!???? THERE'S SO MUCH HURT BEHIND HIS EYES AND I AM SOBBING

every single person who approached him was only interested in befriending him BECAUSE OF HIS STATUS and even though he's smiling in the last panel (as seen on the third photo on the right), there's a hint of sadness and disappointment in his face: he may be surrounded with people but none of them shared his ideals and because of that, he felt even more alone.. with nobody to talk to about his plans, his perspective of the world and the changes he wants to see in it

even his own biological brother then didn't understand him, didn't know him well enough because unlike albert, william shared the same viewpoints as any other noble

let's proceed to the day when albert showed compassion towards a man who he believed could still change if given the chance to atone for his sins. albert was a firm believer that maybe, just maybe, if the man reflected about his actions and the consequences it might bring, he'll become a better person

what happened after was when things took a turn for the worst on albert's behalf I HONESTLY DON'T KNOW WHERE I'M GOING WITH THIS POST BECAUSE I HAVE A LOT TO SAY AND I'M A CRYING MESS

this was the part in chapter 61 that really broke my heart. albert has been kind and patient with the people around him, regardless of whatever status they have in life.

but what did he get from those in the end? he was betrayed and was left questioning whether the things he had been doing was right all along

HE FELT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE MAN'S DEMISE AND BLAMED HIMSELF FOR WHAT HAPPENED WHEN HE HAD NO CONTROL OF THE SITUATION CAN YOU HEAR MY HEART SHATTERING INTO A MILLION PIECES RIGHT NOW

the incident left him in a place of hopelessness and he even got to the point of wanting to do away with his life BECAUSE HE COULDN'T TAKE ANY MORE CRUELTY, ANY FORM OF BETRAYAL, ANY FORM OF THE WORLD'S SUFFERING ... ALL HIS LIFE GROWING UP, HE WAS SO ALONE AND WAS SO SUFFOCATED WITH THE WAY THE WORLD WORKS .. he didn't even feel that he had enough power to change it because he thought of himself to be a coward, who lacked courage

BUT YOU KNOW WHAT?!

ALBERT JAMES MORIARTY, YOU WERE NOT A COWARD. you stood firm with what you believed in, you offered to help the orphanage with the time that you had and made a lot of children and the people who worked there happy, and you never allowed the world to distort nor taint your own viewpoints. ALBERT JAMES MORIARTY YOU HAVE NO FUCKING IDEA HOW THE SMALLEST ACTS OF KINDNESS YOU HAVE SHOWN TO PEOPLE MADE AN IMPACT IN THEIR LIVES; WHAT THEY CHOOSE TO DO AFTER WILL NEVER BE YOUR FAULT

because the scanlations in which i read the recent chapter for moriarty the patriot from mentioned that the author will release the new chapter in september but a recent caption from a reblog said that the chapter comes out in less than a week?

you don't understand how straight up terrifying albert is

even before william and louis came to his life, he's already had thoughts about murdering his family

the line "what would you do if you were me? if you had an evil person in front of you?" would you be able to kill for the sake of an ideal?" led me to believe that he had been thinking of killing his family off for years now

he just didn't have the courage to pull it off

until he saw william and heard of his ideals, about how he wants to change the world by ridding of the corrupt nobles

albert willingly offered his riches, his influence, and his life

and he did so without hesitations

mans did it in a heartbeat (and happily so) to attain his ideal world

this was not animated but in the manga, he didn't strike his little brother but he went on to pin his mother against the wall and suffocate her

you can tell he's been wanting to do this for so long; he just needed that one extra push

AND NOW ADULT!ALBERT HAS THAT INTOXICATED AND MURDEROUS GLINT BEHIND HIS EYES LIKE MF REALLY ENJOYS KILLING NOBLES LIKE A FUCKING PAST TIME HE'S BLOODY TERRIFYING

with william, he actually feels guilty about the dirty deeds he's done he knows killing is wrong but at the same time, he also cannot bear to see a world where people from the lower class suffer because of the nobles he's actually torn from the inside by his ideals and the way that he's trying to achieve them

louis on the other hand comes second when we're talking about who among the moriartys are terrifying

this was ALSO NOT ANIMATED BUT!!!!! i'd like to point out that during this scene in the hunting of the baskervilles, act 2, louis openly admitted that after burning the moriarty estate, he felt nothing THE LITTLE TERRIFYING SHIT THAT HE IS (affectionate)

THAT EMOTIONLESS LOOK ON HIS FACE?! THE NONCHALANT ATTITUDE HE DISPLAYS WHILE A BURNING, BLEEDING MAN IS SCREAMING FOR HIS LIFE IN THE BACKGROUND?!?!! HELLO?!

So after I finishing Moriarty the Patriot I decided to watch the anime Psycho-Pass. And I noticed that the characters looked real familiar.

So I looked at the manga versions of the characters and they're the exact same as Yuumori.

Like Sebastian Moran is that you?!

They got Patterson too! And they're practically the same character too cause they both are Inspectors!

And that's not all folks! They even have William James Moriarty.

And they both are geniuses that are trying to change the world.

LIKE THESE ARE THE SAME CHARACTERS JUST IN DIFFERENT FONTS!!!

And guess who the artist of the manga is. Hikaru Miyoshi! The same artist as Moriarty the Patriot!

Some Unspoken Thing

Louis James Moriarty x Reader (Established Friendship)

After knowing that the next chapter will be released in September, I wrote some MTP x Reader drabbles in my notes to help keep my mind off things. (Also, because I love the characters). For my first MTP x Reader fic, it features none other than Louis!

If you ever come across this, I hope you enjoy reading this as much as I enjoyed writing it!

Louis had finally managed to finish doing his rounds all over the Moriarty Estate. His older brothers, Albert and William, had already left earlier that morning to their respective jobs.

The young, blonde man made his way into the second floor of the manor, his scarlet eyes darting about in case he had missed cleaning a spot or if there were any other chores that he had not started on yet. Given that it was Valentine's Day, the nobles ㅡ especially the women who were more than eager to make the Moriartys' acquaintance ㅡ decided it best that they were to hold a tea party to celebrate the occasion. Louis did not want to put disgrace to their family name, so he was as observant and as careful with his cleaning inspections.

Upon reaching the landing, he noticed that the door to your room was slightly ajar.

That's odd, he thought to himself. He remembered you locking it after you rushed to meet your date. Louis approached the room with cautious steps, careful not to startle the occupant. If there ever was one.

A look of confusion dawned on his features, his brows furrowed and his eyes squinted from behind his spectacles.

❛ Y/N? You're back early. ❜

Louis remarked, slightly opening the door as he stood just outside your quarters.

You were absently staring out at your open window when Louis' voice snapped you out of your trance, bringing you back into reality. You turned towards where his voice had come from and gave him a halfhearted smile.

❛ Yes, I'm back. Unfortunately, plans have changed. My date ㅡ ❜

A sigh slipped out of your lips, your cheeks puffed and dusted with a pink blush. You averted your gaze from the young man at the entryway, diverting your attention to the floor.

❛ My date was with somebody else. I thought they were going out today to meet up with me. But as it turns out, they're already seeing somebody. ❜

You were embarrassed to relay your story to Louis. You two have known each other for a long time and he was always the one you relied on when your relationships don't go as planned. Today's incident was no different. You didn't bother going into detail because you couldn't deal with the humiliation that would creep up in your chest not long after, the feeling made even more evident by your reddening cheeks.

Louis adjusted his glasses, a finger momentarily pushing up the eyewear's bridge on his nose's dorsum. There were many thoughts running on his mind; this was not the first time someone had turned you down in a mortifying manner. A glint of murder flittered past his crimson orbs, dissipating into a gaze of softness as he observed your crestfallen look.

He stepped into your quarters, the sound of his approaching steps making you look up.

Up close, he was breathtakingly handsome. Though the right side of his face was mostly covered with his lengthened fringe, you can't help but be mesmerized. His red eyes were rather hypnotizing, as if luring you someplace else the longer that you stare at them. The scar on his right cheek, left by a burn mark he had long ago inflicted on himself, resembled an unexplored area on a map that your fingers wanted to caress and trace.

You saw your face reflected on his lenses and you internally scolded yourself. Gather your wits about you, think straight.

Louis filled in the silence that settled between you.

❛ I'm sorry to hear about your date, Y/N. ❜

He said with the most genuine tone he could muster; his anger might take a while to subside. Knowing that you've been played again always puts a bitter taste into his mouth. He knelt in front of you on one knee, clasping one of your hands with both of his.

You felt your heart skip a beat, pounding at an increasing rhythm against your chest. Your eyes never broke contact throughout this exchange, resulting to you feeling more flustered than usual.

What was happening?! Louis was your friend! For years now, you had never felt anything romantic towards him. Yet...

❛ You know, I've finished doing my chores today, Y/N. As my means of lifting your spirits up, would you like to accompany me on a stroll? We could go somewhere you like. ❜

A smile crept up on your lips as you wordlessly nodded, a tear sliding down your cheek. Give it to Louis to come to your aid even if you didn't ask for it in the first place. It was one of the things you loved about him: he was willing to do anything for your sake without expecting much in return. He did it out of the goodness of his heart.

Though he appeared void of emotion, he was a man with a warm heart and a caring personality.

With the use of his thumb, he gently wiped your tear away. A small smile of content was on his face, relieved that he had somehow helped cheer you up.

❛ Shall we, then? ❜

You breathed out, grinning from ear to ear as you stood up.

Louis chuckled as he followed suit, intertwining your fingers as he held your hand tightly into his.

❛ As you wish, Y/N. Which place do you have in mind, might I ask? ❜

There was curiosity in his tone, a subtle cluelessness hidden in it for his offer was a sudden one. Though he proposed the idea, he hadn't the slightest idea where to take you. After all, he did not expect the turn of events to take place nor did he anticipate that your date would embarrass you.

Fortunately for Louis, your mind was already abuzz with places to visit on that special occasion.
