        What exactly was the best way to let your son know that you’d just accidentally disappeared for a while, not that you’d gone missing or, well, possibly died? A letter or text was entirely out. She didn’t exactly want to just show up at his door, who knows what he could be up to. So, a phone call? That wasn’t awful. Then they could make plans to see eachother. That would work. She picked up her phone and dialed his number, quietly lamenting the fact she didn’t have a cord to fiddle with while she waited.
