" her hand moves from the holster , taking off one leather glove & there the inky trails that pulse visible the the eye under artificial lights ; like rivers coursing on once clear skin trailing up hiding under the sleeve where the rest of it ribbons the upper left shoulder. a twitch of fingertips , a reflex when the jarring sight of it exudes a reminder of time running out. she doesn't admit desperation outright when pride still clings constantly. some things just do not change , but an offer of acknowledgement is what she can give.

" I'm not quite a ghost yet it takes more then that . " to give up that easily , she wasn't going to go down without a damn fight first ( * that simply wasn't her ; not after eveything endured to go out like that . ) " I'm offering a momentarily alliance no tricks involved . " no ulterior motives or a mask of something hidden behind the tone to decipher or have second thoughts about . no , it was a truthful offer of a helping hand.

it wasn't something the mercenary would normally offer. a solo act was much in habit yet when options slowly dulled , crossing off by one till there was limitation to what she could do alone & this was the last call Ada could even think of.

Sherry should know to atleast consider, from what Ada was sure she heard of her. " what do you say ? " it something they needed / Ada was a valuable asset to have in just the range of versatile skillsets acquired over time , when the goal rang common in the possibility of what can become of them & the means to put a stop to a horrific end.

eyes slight widens at the unexpected sight. how ironic it was for this sickness to find and get strangers together. when normal it prompts isolation. here she met one she perhaps never meant for in this life time. weapon lowered entirely. aware that both weren’t thinking of materialistic stuff as if there was time for that.

survivors were always this stubborn, even sherry herself is carrying multi ghosts herself. each live their own memories. at this time it was the current sherry. prioritize the present “ i say you are a welcome pair of hands. “ turns to open the device , goes through the data they have so far. allow ada to stand by for a peek. it is not only about increase the numbers but she couldn’t let a person be and die on her watch or at her hand. not allowing them a chance to do something for themselves. she knows how this feels so well.

raccoon city , a city torn to the ground ( * down to the very brick that once was someone home ; a buisness of another & those unknowing wiped out. ) she shifts to look , a peak into what had been found. " I haven't heard that in a while , talk about old ghosts. " Ada had buried it somewhere in the back of her mind, in the graze left behind by Annette bullet when it was taken out. a small splodge on the skin that weighed with memories of what transpired & how barely she had managed to make it out before it crumbled. " so they're looking for something too ? " an almost certainty she couldn't imagine the bsaa being involved for a mere sweep & look of the rubble.

there a pause in consideration of what the reaction would be before she nods. " for now , I'm sure we'll cross paths anyway. " an almost tradition for the two when stakes rang high ; one always seemed to find the other one way or the other , it was a surprise in the waiting. she wondered if leon had kept the makeup compact all this time ( * a parting gift left behind. )

a flicker of a smile of her own , something like that wouldn't be easy for Sherry. Ada was a ghost on files she was thorough with that, traces of her name wiped or specks of information that required quite the digging to find ( * ounces of connections unraveled in the years of the mercenary's involvement . ) " I'll be impressed, if you find anything. " a hint of amusement interlacing in tone , though she understands the need of reassurance , trust was a tricky word to align with ada even with the proof & acceptance of a team up. the worlds still ringing strange, team ups was a rarity but Sherry was correct that the more eyes the better. a more efficient way to cover more grounds & quicker too.

[ 7AM ] a crowded coffee shop, patrons in a rush to escape the morning rain. [ 8AM ] a serene camping site overlooking a valley, air humid & fresh. [ 9AM ] a diner smelling of breakfast food as rain patters on the window. [ 10AM ] a walled-in garden full of flowers, just as the afternoon heat sets in. [ 11AM ] an empty public playground, equipment hot from the sun. [ 12PM ] the middle of a sweltering outdoors shopping center. [ 1PM ] the side of the highway after your car breaks down from the heat. [ 2PM ] a bustling farmer's market ripe with produce, unhindered by the rain. [ 3PM ] a city sidewalk gloomy with mist & countless puddles. [ 4PM ] the forested perimeter of a vast lake, cold from snow melt. [ 5PM ] a [ restaurant / diner ], interior lights flickering under a fierce storm. [ 6PM ] a car interior, passengers stuck on a dangerously snowy & dark road. [ 7PM ] an outdoors event as the heat backs off, full of laughter & live music. [ 8PM ] the long queue of a club, impatient patrons stuck in the rain. [ 9PM ] the threshold of an apartment, knocking to be let out of the hailstorm. [ 10PM ] a windy beach past public hours, grains of sand mimicking the stars. [ 11PM ] the backseat of a car parked in the pouring rain on a lonely road. [ 12AM ] a pier on the cold, misty waterfront as fireworks are let off.

this is mostly personal headcanon , with the mix of attributes shown through the present timeline & files but just wanted to yap about this more. the verse for requiem and a big overall theme for ada is about growth . Specifically for requiem it the detailed look that although habits don't break and ada doesn't do a whole 360 change there little things ; she opens slightly and for once with some she let's herself stay. she's still calculated , unpredictable and an enigma ( complexity that is just so well tied into her as a character ) but ada let's the veil open slightly.

before the cure it the stubborn side that refuses to sit and let the symptoms be her end , it the first look of an ounce of fear that she's not invisible, she's human when it first shows on her skin it dawning and it real. post cure with current dynamics set out , for ada it acknowledging the second chance of living , it doesn't feel true at first when she glances in the mirror & the signs are gone. that she's alive , she's no longer on borrowed time.

growth is able when time passes it not something that happens overnight , when she's met people who have left a mark those like leon for example who isnt motivated by a personal gain / power but has a genuine desire to help others & it throws her off , that he persists to stay and help even taking a bullet for her . it different to ada world where self profit rings leader , where intentions are buried beneath how much power it'll gain you. another one is Carla , the result of obsession & fixation and the topic of identity that seeing what Simmons had done feels so invasive to ada , a big highlight atleast to me through it all is the exchange between Carla and Ada for the last time. ' I would helped you ' and ' rest in peace , Carla ' it the genuineness in her tone when it spoken.

ofcourse there is more to mention too but overall it the glimpses through out different interactions both direct & indirect that shape the versatility of ada.

anyways before this becomes a whole eldritch scroll to read haha , this is really a mix of interactions / details picked up through canon game events & some personal ideas , ada is a complex character she doesn't fit a side or a narrative and that what makes yapping like this so fun for me because of the mystery that she is , everyone interpretation will always be different and unique to how you choose to look !

02:32 , exhaustion riddles bones ( * drapes over features when Ada can allow herself to let it be seen ) the scent of gunpowder clings to clothes like second skin. the phone in her palm cracked at the edge running through the screen ; but she's home. greeted by arms that wrap around from behind her figure in a tender embrace & she leans into it. tiers curl and her tone is quiet , soft laced with the tiredness that resonates in what has been a damn long day.

" hey. job got complicated , couldnt call you back. "

the mercenary had been tracking a person of interest , she had been so close ( * in arms reach till it backfired / unknowingly entering the web set out for her , intricate from that of paranoia that the mercenary would catch up ) & ofcourse she predicated there would be complications. she wasn't invisible, resourcefulness didn't erase the margin of danger that came with the job. " have you been up this whole time? "

seeing Wesker was like seeing a ghost too prideful to see an end , though she admits to herself catching him in such a normal setting was amusing in itself so unlike of what she ever seen of him. Ada couldn't decipher the expression entirely , Wekser was elusive in ways & could see through her methods. " I dont know if you're happy to see me or if you just wish there was less people around. " a slight curl of glossed tiers ; she knew he wouldn't be , not after Spain ( * even if her betrayal wouldn't be all too surprising the mercenary was never the type to be trusted to begin with ) she still humoured it , her attitude towards him never changing even now.

" just wanted to see you for myself. " she had learned of what had happened , it was not something Ada had easily believed & with a matched pace was the evidence of that want for confirmation ( * the need to see it with her own eyes ) of him like it was simply another day hidden plain among the masses that passed. cranium tips slightly to side observing features hues hidden behind the familiar glasses ; she had wondered if his * pride had been wounded even in the slightest not that it be something he'd even admit or if it was all partial to the goal ahead. the mercenary couldn't imagine him continuing to stay as such , a shadow in the background of it all.

" now I'm just wondering what grand return you're planning. "

If Ada knew he was around again, that means someone else out there does too, which could lead to others knowing, and he was thinking about Chris specifically. One of Wesker's best. He hated that man. Ever since the mansion incident that clumsy oaf managed to stumble his way into Albert's path and time, and time again has managed to foil that which he has so carefully planned. If Chris found out...

The man twitches his head slightly, a small shake to remove the thought. He can't afford to spiral, not now, not ever again. His survival was miraculous, a gift given to him by his own abilities and a stark reminder that even he, in all of his glory, could be beaten.

"I wish I could tell you," Wesker smiles and tilts his head so his eyes are visible, twinkling with excitement. "But that would be spoiling the surprise." He had something big in mind, but nothing was yet concrete. First, he needed a weapon, and the kind he was looking for took time to make. His defeat in Africa set him back quite a bit and now he was struggling - he needed money and a proper facility for his research, and neither of those are as easy to find as they had been before.

"What now, hm? I'm on my way to the park, if you're uncomfortable leaving me alone... you can always join me."

gaze meeting twinkling hues of excitement , whatever big return he would be planning she knew it wouldn't be that easy to find out. he'd see through ada tactics ; already well familiar with them & how the mercenary operated in gathering information. " that a shame you can't even give a hint ... knowing you it something grand. " that carefully it be planned for the highest efficiency and impact , he was quite thorough in his planning in that way , ever the mastermind . " or do you think I'd tell ? "

( * that plans would hinder if it news reached another ) some humour is traced in the words. she doesn't tattle- well there became exceptions to which she doesnt admit , though trust had always been vague for the two where it had came down to professional rather then anything considered personal. with shared differences & her own morals clashing , it was tricky for another to see where exactly she stood in it all when it wasn't in her style to pick sides.

brims curl slightly at the choics of words. she considers it * not that it bring her any discomfort to leave him be the mercenary already had the self confirmation in just seeing Wesker breathing and standing. it was more part curiousty / amusement persisting ada to stay longer & entertain the simplicity of his words . " since you offered I guess I can keep you company. " matched pace , a leisure walk that headed to greenery pass bying small shops & side paths.

had a thought about something along the line of a undercover heist plot ( just cause I love that kind of stuff ) with the themes of something alike a masquerade , face hidden searching for a target & the idea that ada would need a plus one to even enter- which throws off her ideal of preferring to accomplish her objectives solo.
