What happened to the community?

Most of those I follow haven’t been active in 6 months or even years!  It’s so sad to know a lot of these wonderful people who I met on here, who are also very talented to say the least, are now gone and won’t be coming back maybe ever. :(

Others have switched up their blogs, making it more of a multifandom blog than purely A:tla or Tlok.

Did everyone leave at around the same time as I did? Life must have got caught up I guess. That was at least the case for me... It’s so saddening, but I guess I shouldn’t have hoped that everything would still be as it was almost three years ago. Oh sweet melancholy.

A new Korra for a new story.

About two years ago, I decided to watch this show called Avatar: The Last Airbender. Then I watched the sequel series, The Legend of Korra. And then my life was complete. -u- For me, these stories are the culmination of everything I love about storytelling, and they’ve inspired how I shape each one of my own stories. However, like some other Avatar fans, I felt that even though Book Four of Korra was mightily enjoyable, it didn’t quite feel like the completion of this seven-book journey. So my brother and I, with explosive inspiration, figured-out an alternate way to tell the story of Book Four - repurposing and expanding on the foundations set in place in the original version, but bringing all of Korra’s adventures to a definitive conclusion. The pre-existing title “Balance” applies just as well to this new version - so to differentiate, we chose the synonym “Harmony”. Regarding the drawing itself - you may have recognized the poses from Korra’s official design sheet. I wanted to visualize a part of our idea, by seeing it in the original style. And so here is Korra’s revised appearance! While healing from her encounter with Zaheer, Korra decides to explore the Spirit World hoping to reconnect with Raava and learn the spiritual ways of the Avatar that she’s never truly mastered. Her look has become more organic, asymmetrical and flowing - even mimicking Raava’s design in some areas to reflect her shifted focus on the unconfined spiritual world.

Hey I was just wondering if you had any tips for girls in CSGO, my girlfriend watches me play it all the time but she hates the community and how most of them treat girls so she doesn't want to play because of that.

I can very well understand why your girlfriend dislikes the CSGO community’s attitude towards female players… I’ve seen enough videos and posts about girl players on Reddit to know that it’s bad, but of course it does still vary on who you’re playing with. Sometimes people are just very friendly. However, I never actually speak up in the voice chat because I’m scared of how others will react lol. I just communicate through chat. That’s one way for your girlfriend to start out. And maybe she can try to tell them though chat that she’s a girl and see how they’ll react.

Another way is to play MM with friends. I rarely to never play competitive by myself, I always play with my boyfriend and / or his friends. I feel much more comfortable doing so and when the other team players realise that you’re in a friend group, they’ll be less likely to attack you for being a female player.

Teaming up with other female players can also be a solution, because they’re much more likely to talk shit when you’re the only girl on the team than when there’s a few girls.

Just tell your girlfriend to try it. She can always quit if she doesn’t like it. I don’t really like the CSGO community on aspects such as these but if you like to play the game then gradually you won’t even care what they might say and just focus on having fun playing with you and / or friends! Hope this helped! :)

PS If she does get into it, she can add me if she wants. I’m not very good yet because I’ve only started playing a while ago and I’d love to play with some other female players! ;D

No, sadly I don’t play WOW. A friend of mine does, but it never really appealed to me. I’m not such a fan of MMORPGs, sorry! :(
