If it helps the animators will have already been paid when the movie was completed. The lack of theatrical release will only bum them of a bonus. And its almost certain they've moved onto other work. If what you're worried about is recognition for their work... everything reviewing the movie mentions the amazing animation, this really won't affect anything

i get that and i‘m glad they‘re getting praised for their hard work but the whole thing is still incredibly disrespectful 😓

i hate paramount for not giving the atla movie the theatre release it was promised, i hate that it got leaked and people keep spreading it, i hate what this all means for all the animators that worked on it and most if all i hate what it means for the future of avatar studios

atla just so happened to write one of the most insane and complex brother sister relationships in all of television, and yet for some reason everyone focused on zuko and azula instead, even though they are basically just normal siblings, and as such not even that interesting ..

katara and sokka are what happens when you are your brother’s mother and your brother also tries to be your father. you love them, you hate them, you’re half of them, you can’t stand them, you look after them, they keep you safe.

azula and zuko are both just gifted kid burnouts with a dad that only loves the winner.

I find it so funny that Zutaras, for generations, wrote entire think pieces about how Mai is:

1. Too Apolitical and apathetic to be a Firelady

2. Completely selfish and always acting in her own best interest

3. Would only hinder Zuko’s progress as a Firelord

All in attempt to diminish her character and try and prove Katara of all people would be a better Firelady.

Now we have CANON to confirm that Mai is fearless and a staunch advocate for undoing years of fire nation propaganda. And that she’s willing to drop everything to help Zuko in a noble cause - including teaching a new generation of kids the truth about the hundred year war.

Re: your latest post; it's the same with the Hungarian dub! It gets really bad in S3 as well! And what's even worse is that they changed the voice actor for sokka halfway through the season :/ it wasn't that noticeable tbh cos they chose well but it annoys me to this day cos I really loved the og voice actor.. Tho I try to think of these as little quirks that make the dubbed version special just so I'm not super annoyed with every rewatch 😅

God, they changed the voice actress for Katara in S3 as well and I’ve never been a fan, so I feel your pain 🫠 And that’s a nice way of thinking, maybe I should try that as well 😅 I usually try to do my rewatches in English to avoid the hassle but after a few episodes I always switch back to German because of nostalgia 🥲

while i will forever love and prefer the german voices for the atla cast something that really bothers me is the inconsistency when it comes to dubbing in season 3… voice actors for different side characters change every other episode, sometimes even from one scene to the next, it’s annoying
