Until 1930 it was forbidden to be gay, and you could risk being sentenced to prison if the police discovered it. In 1906-07 conducted the Copenhagen Police a lawsuit against a number of gay men who were convicted of “acts against nature”. They received prison sentences of between one month and two years because they had had sex with other men.

At several of the arrested police found also erotic and pornographic images.
