I havenât posted any scenarios in like months now? Nearly a year. I just fell out of fandom. A lot of people put a bad taste in my mouth towards Kpop/Exo ficdom and Iâve just not been able to write in general recently because of a lot of things going on in my life. For example, Iâm engaged now and trying to plan for my fiancĂŠ and I to get a house together and eventually get married. So thereâs that. Sorry :/

You truly didnât know how this date would end up. You didnât really know the man that much, but you knew that you had already fallen for that laughter of his.Â
The first sign that you were already head over heels for him.
But that wasnât the only thing that had drawn you to him - Park Chanyeol. He was sweet, too, and though you didnât know each other very well, you did know a little bit about him. He always came in late at night to your store and even when there were other lines open, he remained in your line to wait for you.
It was like he did it on purpose - and he admitted as much the last time you had seen one another...
âHello.â you greeted him with a kind smile, moving his things along the conveyer belt and scanning them diligently. You had seen him several times before in the store, and he always managed to get into your line without fail every time. You almost felt flattered.
He smiled softly, looking at you as you continued to ring his items up until you actually looked up at him and were taken aback by how intense his gaze was. Not invasive, more cautious and curious. You returned his look and let a small laugh escape your lips as you asked him what he was doing here so late today. There were times when he came in very early in the mornings, and then very late at night. You figured he probably lived nearby, but the things he bought were so odd, and always in bulk that you werenât sure if he lived by himself or with a few roommates.
He shrugged, âJust had to grab a few things for me and my friends.â the way he said it, it almost sounded like there were more than just a handful of them. You wondered if he was having a party, so you asked, ringing up the last of his items. But he shook his head.Â
âSo...if youâre not having a party how many friends are there over your house?â you asked, trying to keep casual with the question.Â
The boy laughed and you looked up, startled. His laughter always caught you off guard, though...it was in a good way you supposed. Always a good way to hear such freeing, lovely peals of laughter coming from someone like him.
Even if he was just a regular at the store, he was a handsome regular.
âNo, no. Weâre all in a group together. Weâre idols. Have you ever heard of EXO?â he asked you, but when you shook your head, he seemed almost disappointed. But then he perked up, âYou should listen to our music sometime, or at least, my music!â and then he got this spectacular look on his face that had you blinking, âWe should hang out sometime actually! I can bring along my music and we can talk about you for a change.â
At that, you stuttered an answer out, unsure what to say exactly. Was it appropriate to take such suggestions from customers? But as you rang up his total, you figured why not?
âSure.â you agreed, and without him having to say anything, just paying the amount, you were quick in taking the receipt and scrawling your number across the plain white back of the paper, hoping that he actually did call or text you.
Handing him the receipt, you couldnât help the blush that followed when he looked up with a surprised expression and then he smiled widely.
âIâll uh, see you later then,â he said, taking up the multiple bags within his arms as if it was nothing. You watched as he went, your life suddenly dead as it was this late at night. You couldnât help the giggle that escaped you when he turned to wave one last time at you - and promptly ran into one of the sensors by the door, effectively making everyone look up and stare at him. âIâm okay!â he yelled, only making more of a scene.
You shook your head as you watched him go...
He had messaged you later that week, introducing himself quite oddly. At first, he said he was âthe boy from the storeâ and although you knew exactly who it was - you didnât give very many people your number, to begin with - you still asked for more clarification.
He started telling you that he was the one who walked into the sensors, and then he described himself as the boy that always came in late at night and bought tons of junk food. You had to laugh at that because if he had started with that it wouldnât have narrowed it down at all. There were tons of people who came into the store to buy junk food late at night. It was just, he was the only one who never seemed really guilty about it when he stepped into your line.
He then introduced himself as Park Chanyeol, and that he had an idea of when and where you could hang out. You agreed to go, even when he said it was a surprise, and that he could pick you up on his day off that Tuesday.Â
And although Tuesday was an odd day to go on a date, and to have a day off, you agreed and asked for the day off yourself. Thankfully the manager said it was supposed to be slow that week anyway, with no holidays coming up.
When you actually went to meet Chanyeol, you were surprised first by what he picked you up in, and then also the way he greeted you when he unlocked the doors.
âCâmon!â he said, urging you to get into the car. âI have lots planned for the day.â
And he was right.
The day passed by quickly - and though you werenât sure where you were going at first, you were pleasantly surprised when the two of you stopped and parked in front of a theme park. It was quiet and though unusual, you still got out of the car and only hoped that Chanyeol wasnât taking you here to kill you. That would have definitely been horrific.Â
But then he explained that his group did promotions for the park and that he had pulled some strings to have it rented for the next couple of hours. He walked by staff that nodded their heads quietly, and you only continued to stare as he led you around the place.
The two of you got to talking about each other, and though you seemed to be doing most of the talking, your life wasnât that interesting. Certainly not as interesting as his. During the week you had looked up the group he said he was part of and had gotten a little intimidated by it all. Multi-millions, several awards that probably cost more than your apartment, and thousands, maybe millions of fans that could take you out if they ever caught a whiff of the fact that you were going on a date with Park Chanyeol.
But you had still agreed to go, and you hadnât regretted the choice. Especially not when he started talking about himself and the music he made. The way he spoke was so passionate and loving about the whole thing. And then he even brought out his phone and asked if you wanted to hear some of it.
You agreed quickly.
The music was actually really well done, and it wasnât like his groupâs music, not really. Some of his personal stuff was more mellow, with more time and attention to be softer and deeper. You could tell that he had put a lot of effort into his music, and though you had taken a liking to the music his group produced as a whole, you knew youâd like his solo material a little more.
You werenât a fan, but you could see yourself getting there if you tried hard enough.
After a while of talking and listening, he rubbed at the back of his neck and turned his head down, âYou know, I didnât think this would go very well.â and at that you quirked an eyebrow. You had been thinking the same thing, but you werenât about to say it aloud.
âWhy is that?â you asked.
He shrugged before letting out a small laugh, âI donât usually go on dates with people? And if I do, theyâre usually a friend of a friend or almost a blind set-up kind of deal whenever I have off. I date people in the company or the industry, always low key.â he sighed, âItâs been a while since I asked someone...normal out.â
You raised an eyebrow at that but didnât say anything until he looked over at you expectantly, waiting for your reply.
âI donât know if I should be flattered then, but Iâve had a good time.â and you kind of left it at that, really unsure what else you could say. Chanyeol seemed to have something else in mind though.
âIf you, uh wanted to go out some other time?â he started, getting a little nervous, âThen I could maybe introduce you to my group members. Or it could be just us again. Thatâs if you want to go out with me again.â
You smiled sweetly at him, eyes downcast as you looked at the ground. You really did enjoy yourself and you could definitely see yourself going on another date with Chanyeol, maybe several other dates. You wanted to get to know him, wanted to see other sides of him. You liked what you had seen so far, and so you nodded your head.Â
âIâd really like that.â and you couldnât help but smile back at the brightness in his eyes as he looked so excited to hear you say that.Â
âGood.â he said, and then amended it, âIâd like that, too.â
