It’s a fairly commonly known fact on board the Steelhaven that Jetfire and Jetstorm will find any excuse they can to act weird. In this case, their excuse is an Earth holiday.

Outburst is getting rather good at talking, as well as getting much harder to hide aboard the ship. The tips of her wings tap against doorways at their natural resting position, and there’s only so much time she can spend cooped up in one room before her urges to fly get the better of her.

Most peculiarly, the twins think, is her choice of alt mode. Both of them expected her to stay with her sparked one, whatever it might have been, but at the first given opportunity, she snuck off the Steelhaven and made her way to an Earth air base. It isn’t even a modern craft; it was on display, according to her.

It’s given her a broader, more sturdy appearance, more befitting of her already booming voice and frankly vulgar vocabulary. The tar once keeping her claws in check has long since been removed, carefully tugged out from under armor plating and discarded via airlock. Said claws are now used less to cling and more to tinker, her youthful curiosity ever prevalent.

All three reached a general consensus for her to stay on Earth, even if it was met with dismay on Outburst’s part. She didn’t want to be away from those who raised her, but she also didn’t want to get them in trouble, so planetbound she remained.

The nice humans here were even willing to give her a paint job, something she appreciated deeply, even if she wasn’t perfect at wording it yet. Apparently how her adoptive sire and uncle talked wasn’t normal, and she was slowly learning how to speak properly.

It’s fun, she thinks, learning from Earth. It’s so different from how Cybertron was described, the ground soft and springy and the life colorful and varied. Her favorite organic things were trees.

Maybe she’d get to see Cybertron some day. That’d be nice.

I find it so interesting how the fandom has all agreed Jetfire is the, rowdier? Of the two and Jetstorm is the clamer one. Especially since there was so little character development for them in the show

like i’m 100% certain on this; in the rise of safeguard comic, jetfire is seen as the one less in control and more prone to whoopses. jetstorm balances that out.

both twins are definitely high energy, certainly, but since headcanon tends to fill in gaps left by suggestions, it only makes sense to make the one with the more destructive powers the rowdier one o:
