we had a choir concert last night at this gigantic monument and it was us, then sort of a mid pop cover choir, and then this amazing ukranian folk choir with the most charming conductor alive like she just exuded... power and joie de vivre idk how else to say it they were awesome and it was kind of a crazy full circle moment for me because the last time i was in this monument was when m visited us and she actually showed me a version of one of the songs they performed, dostochka. i really miss her, or who i knew back then, i've never known anyone like her. well. and my friend recorded two of our songs and i'm pleased beyond belief, the acoustics were so gorgeous and i will be listening to them a lot i suspect. sent them to my grandma who's home from the hospital now, i think she'll love them as well
