Parts for the cabinet stand fit. Progress.

This should work. Finished sizing up the pecan legs, aprons and rails for the cabinet stand this afternoon (just before it hit 114 degrees in the shop). Now that it's a chilly 90 in here, back at it tonight and ready to cut joinery and glue up some cabinet panels. Now where's that new Domino? #overandundertiecabinet (at Split Oak Ranch)

Solid morning milling up some 8/4 rift sawn pecan and 10/4 rift sawn walnut for leg stock and base parts. This is my first time using pecan for a project and so far I'm pretty pumped about it...we'll see how things go once I break out the hand tools, though. #nicelittlesaturday #mmmmpecan

Good morning, y'all. (at Split Oak Ranch)

#tbt to 2 years ago this month when @mbdomestics offered (and sold) my Roosevelt Bourbon Table. This was my first retail piece to be in-store where anyone could actually go and view, touch, and compare my work in person. Pretty exciting stuff for a guy just figuring things out. Having people experience and enjoy my work never gets old -- and when I can be in a place and notice someone new, randomly and without thinking, skate their fingertips smoothly across the top of one of my finished pieces as they walk past, then pause to give the piece notice and a slight nod of approval -- well, folks, that will never not give me chills. Making things for others is awesome. Thanks to all of those who help people like me get the things we make into the hands of others.

Surf's up, y'all. Great last-minute trip out to @berdoll_sawmill this afternoon. Finally found two nice 8/4 walnut slabs needed to wrap up a current project, and then couldn't help but to grab this 12/4 Pecan monster, to boot...because I might actually happen to need it one day. And I just want to look at it some more. Thanks, Brandon!
