Benjamin leaned down to free his own dog from her leash. “Go play Pelze.” He said with a small smile before rubbing her head gently. “Yes, she’s also use to running around on her own, she always comes back to me.” Benjamin watched as Pelze went along with Gilbert’s dogs, then he turned his head to the albino man. “So how have you been?” He asked with a soft expression on his face, sitting back against the bench.
Gilbert folded the leashes neatly and let them rest over his lap, while his eyes kept watching carefully the dogs as they played. Of course they were all used to it, but keeping a look on them would not hurt anyone, and would help Gilbert to react quicker in the case of needy.
“…Are you making small talk?” He says after a moment or two in silence, where he debated if he should answer that or not. Benjamin might as well had started talking about the weather and it would have had the same effect. “Same old.” The answer finally comes, followed by a shrug.
“There is not any thing grand to tell. You?”
Benjamin crossed one leg over the other, watching as their dogs ram around the park on their own, Pelze knew how far she could go out since Ben frequented this dog park. "Am I making small talk? Maybe. It isn't fun to sit in silence with someone like you."
Bemjamin smiled over at Gilbert and patted the Prussian man's hand gently. "And the same old same old for me as well. It's starting to get boring. . . See any good shows or anything recently?"
