Swordfight
Chief Keef Online was a popular MMO released in Korea in 2006.
In the game, the player takes the role of a Keefer and must collect over 3 Love Sosa Crystals in order to challenge Chief Keef in direct hand to hand combat. There were many builds and classes the player could make in the game, such as the Spear Keef, or the Dark Keef, none of which were viable.
Due to the strength of Chief Keef it is impossible to beat the game due to programming errors in the games code. As a result, the game was largely abandoned by the Korean market until it reached the United States, where it gathered a playerbase of several hundred, who would later go on to also abandon the game.
Today, Chief Keef Online is remembered for being one of the greatest Chief Keef video games ever made, rivalling other games such as that on Chief Keef Flash Games.com, which became defunct in 2011.
Chief Keef is now considered lost media, and a team of Keef Enthusiasts in 2012 gave up any search of the popular online MMO.
User 'Soulja Boy' of Screwattack.com wrote that the game was 'well made, with fun creatures and appealing environments, offering many Keef to explore', but lamented the games lack of 'audio'.
The Metacritic average score of the game stands at a current 'N/A' among both critics and audiences.
Elephant Ropes
Regarding the biped elephants there is an old little tale,
of them, with faculties granted by this fantasy, inventing the rope.
One horned a sort of tune that meant to the others
a promise of swinging, swing we shall, from the trees!
They had torn down the trees to make their rope,
but all the same they found some sheer face or misfiguredly arched hoodoo to tie it across,
and when an eager elephant swung, it snapped
and she fell to the cracked earth with a barren dusty thud.
So little swings, little swings, that much they could do,
of course they could not go off the ground,
but they could sway back and forth with the rope,
and they say one day if enough trees be felled
it may be able to lift them as good as their own two feet.
They grew tired of the swaying,
and some in fantastical fits of petty malice took to tying others,
around their tree-stump feet, for laughs and easy thrills,
so webs and networks were made of those bonded pairs of cylinders,
until Fifty were entangled in this mess,
some by spider-webs of ties around them, some on the outskirts by a sole connection.
All the same, One had found medicinal use for the rope,
the medicine, the medicine!,
tying neatly closed a split stretch of fabric.
But when she returned to the stomping grounds in the crags, she saw with horror
the fumbling knotted spaghetti cloud of dust and toes and fibres
and seeing a prospect not worth enduring, hanged herself,
to little avail.
So she stood up from her fall and threw the snapped rope aside,
as did the others once calmed,
and good riddance!
Lyria
No human on Earth evoked her aquatic peace,
her fathoms are lambet with orbs and schools
at depths where the sapiens shifts black and alien,
and among even Jewels the ever twilight quiet
of the blue lumpy pagodas and the languid currents aglow
is a particular sort of gentle.
You might see this in her eyes;
she will nod and you huddle close to the looking glass,
lids sloped wizened and meek,
lashes brushing your cheek,
long uranus hair the curtains of the canopy bed,
parted at the middle, thinnest gold garland with the smallest sapphire,
lap and white chest the cross-seamed mattress,
enlaced with blossoms of the deep
and worlds of droplet structures.
Crooked black throngs of fingers petrified spewed bouts of magma
in the before times,
where such things as nightmares and dragons are risen up to.
Her staff picked the scorched ridge of the ashen mountain,
breathing its vents blasts of smoke and ember,
to the heart chamber, molten within,
where Lyria stood before the Rubywyrm.
Bathed in fire, robed in shadow
erecting disturbed the narrow slits of contempt,
horns a crown of the damned prince,
crimson spears along its spine,
and through the bellows of its passage aged a breath to a rage.
The pearl cloths sailed radiant bows
over beams and blurs which cut the very air with lines aflame,
but the tail caught landing heels,
swept and whipped and pinned with the point to her nape,
and the stacks of teeth in the maw un-locked,
til the Jewel jammed the roof with the length of the birch.
It recoiled and it spat, and the snake-knife retreat,
and her hands slapped the spinning handle into swirls to weave bubbles,
orbs arcing up, a foot bouncing each,
and made the high scaly snout a podium,
two barrels of black eyes aimed at her,
and she thrust the glass ocean head
deep in its nostril.
It sputtered and coughed flems of flame,
gagging and writhing,
then alert, above, iris crossed,
to a ball-bearing water packed denser than steel,
the floating weight tethered to the staff circling momentum,
up!
and long streak Spiked!,
Clocked
square its dome,
and the wyrm neck spun
to a thud.
and sleep.
And Lyria
blanketed the creature
with soothing waters.
" my starclef, jupiter, is the heaviest physically out of all of em, cos of the large spherical head at the end. i have a technique where i let go of the bottom, guiding it loosely, and sorta let the weight at the head leverage it with a lot more force. and im able to work with the wobbly movement of the leverage, right, and i can use that thinner end to quickly deflect stuff. its like my wrist near the top is the pivot, right? and theres a lot of length after it thats all swooping around in eights, and if you gyro with it slowly roouund and back and rooound and back then WHOSH with a sudden Zip, like a sudden push along that path as if you sped up round the racetrack, you get a very quick lace of force with a whole bearing n shaft of history behind it. besides that, its both hands clobberin em with the head
i dont pay attention to how the thing looks, too much. i guess cos im familiar^-^ but its about as ornate as the others. the head actually looks like jupiter, or its kinda fashioned in that way like its a lil ball animal pretending to be jupiter, what it thinks it looks like in its weird animal head. so its got the idea with the striations, but theyre all siney and curved in weird ways, and they pinch towards a centre that makes part of the layers look like a ribbon-bow or cave painting eyes. and the colors are what a peacock would think obviously, theres gems inset, cos theres always gems inset^ and they go round, one on each of the fat part of the sine the necks got those wave or floral motifs like the head is blooming out the staff, i think most of them have that. then the shaft is interesting cos it kinda moebius-es on down there like a big ol strip of taffy that youre twisting at both ends, then at the very end it swirls off doing its own thing kinda like my hair does^ abouts the centre its got dividers of two jade marbles like my hair pin, two a those dividers making the mid-section. thinkin about it most of my sailor stuff like my suit n whatever manifest a lot with those thin wispy smoke motifs anyway, thats ma staff! MY FIC IS OUT
BUT Its very different from what i was posting before
as i was writing cloven moon, i had a sudden dream that very strongly told me 'this isn't what i should make'.
this is a much lighter, looser story, though using a lot of the same ideas. before it was like 'HBO's: Friendship is Magic', now its more in-line with the source material with a good splash of early star trek TNG. i decided, fuck it we ball. i still have the whole plan of cloven moon and other ideas to use, but besides that im winging it. turns out for me, the way to get a story done is to have fun along the ride.
An epic re-telling inspired by magical girls, star treks, and progressive rock.
after about a month, ive finally finished planning the episodes for cloven moon. theres still more planning to do, but soon-ish the actual writing will begin.
above is the very ominous list of episode titles. all of them are named after songs, either by their name or a lyric from them.
here is the playlist of the music. some of them are repeats because episodes are named after individual sections of one track (e.g 'passing strangers' and 'threshold'). not every track is 'used' in the episode necessarily, but some of them are and hoo boy. hoo mama.
pic unrelated
prose version of the little comic scene i posted before. i still Cant Decide. also if you can't tell i am fucking obsessed with this thing and it is my life right now and probably will be until its final chapter. ------
Trixie spoke. "But I really must be going now; I have peasants to impress with power and greatness, and yet in my superlatives, studies to attend to for ever more of both."
"Sounds, uh… ambitious. I was always taught power to be a privation. An evil, I guess."
"If Power be so, Sparkle," She turned to look over her cloak's collar, seeing her in the eye, with a hint of a satisfied smile. "then I be the devil."
The floorboards tapped to her staff's slow steps, and Twilight sat and watched the hat and gliding cloak depart her, watching with a mild astoundment, still holding half the mug of milk. The door creaked, and opened to the night winds briefly, and in the next warm and quiet moment Trixie had passed to a passing impression in stained glass, and then the shadow disappeared left. Twilight stood and set down the mug and tapped the rim twice as if telling the worm [image drawn on the mug] to wait a moment with affection, then she paced to the stairs. She peeled off her slippers on the oak lip of a step then ran up round the curve feet slapping, up and up past the home-paintings and the window then to the door, to the dark living room with cross-sected window spotlight, to the window, and then with the click of a latch into clearer stars and a floral wind blowing her ribbons and for a moment a memory.
The cloak and hat was a dark figure well along the dirt path by the creeper-crawled fence, her drapery and the grass and the woods-edge boughs all blowing westward, in the same calling that lead the distant smoke of chimneys. The sorceress sauntered, gently a touch higher or lower along the night aqua greens, under and over the roll of the land ever more distant and dark, and she was whistling. The reedy organ response of Puccini's 'Te Deum'. Quieter. Wider. Quieter, to the shrinking of her figure and to the last dip that took her from sight. Quieter, until the tune was lost in the hushes and rustling. And Lulamoon was gone with the meadows.
Trixie's sauntering turned to a grinning little jog when she knew the crest had hid her, then she slowed to a stop creased over, and her hands sheltered the hissing ruddy laughter from her teeth. The audacity and the absurdity and the sheer dripping Edge tickled her to fits that themselves tickled her moreso by the fact that she smuggled them behind whatever cold stance she must have taken all the way to the end of sight. The girl set her up to say the coldest muck a mule had ever said and she took it and she walked out like she really was all that and a fist of oats. She wiped her eyes "oooohhh my goodness-" almost starting again with a last sputter. She sighed.
