It’s Not Nice to Stare
Flowey screeched angrily. “Stop trying to confuse me with your nonsense words!” He launched all h is attacks directly at the shield, trying to break it.
“What nonsense? I’m only speaking the truth! You saw him go WHITE, didn’t you?” Ekoro grinned. The shield was cracking very slightly; at this moment it wasn’t a huge issue, but if this went on for too long, it would most definitely give. “You want to see what that thing is capable of? I can’t guarantee your safety!”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about! I’m not going to stop attacking you just because you can spout gibberish!” Flowey continued attacking the shield. “Explain now or die!”
It’s Not Nice to Stare
Flowey laughed, wiggling his steam to try to avoid the arrows. Some of them hit him anyways, however.
“Ah!” He cried out at each arrow that hit him. He was tempted to pull himself underground to avoid being hit, but he had his SAVEs to save him, and he didn’t want to seem like a coward.
“That’s more like it! Doesn’t violence feel good? Don’t you want to kill everyone? Everyone wants to kill you!”
Flowey shot up a root from underneath his adversary, as well as attempting to use his roots to block arrows from reaching his main stem. Bullets rained all about.
Ekoro continued his onslaught, but was quite for a good while, before giving a hearty laugh and putting up a shield around himself.
“You fool! Do you really think I am here for that? No, I am here to prevent that. Do you want to be absorbed? Maybe I shouldn’t have jumped forth to disallow it from escaping!”
Flowey screeched angrily. “Stop trying to confuse me with your nonsense words!” He launched all h is attacks directly at the shield, trying to break it.

“Finally decided to fight? Good.”
Flowey grinned and faced the adversary, launching both his roots and his bullets once more. “Show me what you’re really like!”
“LOVELY TRICK!!!”
A massive spiral of light arrows spawned behind him. With a wave of his hand, all of them shot forward, more spawning in their place. In the middle of it all, his body crackled with lightning sending off a stray bolt every now and then.
He meant business.
Flowey laughed, wiggling his steam to try to avoid the arrows. Some of them hit him anyways, however.

Once fairly certain that Ekoro had decided to exist, Flowey quickly lashed a root around him, holding him and dragging him closer to Flowey’s face. “Aw, what’s wrong? Too much LOVE in your heart? Can’t handle my FRIENDLINESS?” Flowey chuckled. “I could help you, you know. Undo all of this. But why would I?” Flowey tossed Ekoro to the side. “You are worthless garbage.”
The bullet had finally come loose after Ekoro was thrown against the wall, causing more damage than he would’ve liked. Hearing that, though…he already had doubt nesting in his soul due to the failure at trying to break the barrier. And this…this wasn’t helping. He continued to lie there, facing away from Flowey…until his body had begun slowly fading to white.
“I guess I am,” he uttered as he got up. No sooner than when he had managed to sit himself up did his body change color yet again–this time to pitch black. He hunched over a bit before forcing himself to stand tall. “That’s enough!”
He turned to face Flowey, his face full of determination. Though there was a gaping hole in his heart, that didn’t slow him down. In fact, it had begun to spark with livid electricity which soon found itself coursing about and around his entire body.
“I refuse give in to the likes of you! En garde!”
“Finally decided to fight? Good.”
Flowey grinned and faced the adversary, launching both his roots and his bullets once more. “Show me what you’re really like!”

Flowey laughed. “Are you attempting to escape? What, dying already? Pathetic. Looks like you’re a weakling after all.” Flowey stopped attacking, and watched Ekoro carefully. He didn’t know what would happen to him if he tried to grab Ekoro while he was blinking like that, and he didn’t want to risk something bad happening. For now he would just wait.
Ugh, this is so bad! I can’t focus! Ekoro thought to himself. Eventually he just couldn’t keep it up and stayed in plain sight. He had to get this bullet out of his chest. He immediately attempted to do so, but it was lodged in tight. Once again, he left himself open to attack.

Flowey’s attacks slowed briefly as he listened to Ekoro’s words. He was trying to debate the truth in them, until Ekoro started talking about shes and hes and Ice Beasts. What the heck was he talking about???
“You’re trying to confuse me! It won’t work! I don’t know what you are talking about, but I know it’s all lies!” Flowey cried out, redoubling the speed of his strikes as he became focused on the battle once more. “You can’t trick me! You can’t trick me! No one will trick me ever again!” At this, Flowey sent off a hail of bullet like seeds.
Flowey’s voice was filled with rage and hatred, but it almost sounded like there was another voice speaking at the same time, saying the same things. It was just faint enough that it could have been imagined. It sounded choked and afraid… like a child on the verge of tears.
Flowey was grinning.
Ekoro realized he had to move too late. He was buffeted by the seeds–strangely, they actually hurt. Were they made…of magic? Losing himself to those thoughts again proved ill advised, as one of those seeds was quickly lodged in this core, which also doubled as his heart. The blob unearthed a tremendous screech from the pain. He had to get out, NOW!
He opened up a portal next to him and attempted to hide between dimensions so as not to be seen, but the pain in his heart was so unbearable he couldn’t help but whimper every time he moved around too much. It also drained a bit of his power, causing him to blink in and out of view every few seconds.

“What, are you saying you would let me go if I backed down now?”
Flowey quickly lashed several of his roots up, hitting the ceiling in places where there was no hole to the surface, The roots crossed over each other, attempting to converge at the spot that Ekoro is.
[FILE TWO SAVED]
“Nice try! You just want me to make myself weaker so you can kill me easier! Well it wont work! I know better than that.”
“W…what?!” Ah, this seriously wasn’t any good! Ekoro zipped off from where he hovered, trying to avoid the attack–but it was becoming painfully obvious that trying to run and hide was going to get harder and harder unless he could get Flowey to believe him.
“What would I even gain from killing you?! Blood on my hands?! I…I…” Ekoro struggled to find his words. “Y-you’re attacking because you were afraid I was gonna strike first, right? I never intended to fight, let alone kill you! If I killed you…gee, what would she think…it’s not like I’m fighting an Ice Beast or anything…he’s spoiling for a fight, sure, but it’s not like I’m fighting for my friends or anything…”
The blob’s thoughts began slowing his movements down as he debated the morality of killing his unexpected opponent. It was his fault, he truly did believe. Of all the things he could’ve done in response, now wasn’t the time for pranks.
Now…probably wasn’t the time to get lost in such thoughts.

Flowey grins and stretches out his stem so that he is taller. The stem thickens as it grows, and cactus spikes start to protrude out of it. Flowey grins, his mouth too wide for his face, his whole expression looking as though it was melting very slowly. Time to test out those two human souls.
“I wasn’t lying to you, you know. But it looks as if you’ll fit in anyways.”
A large root tears out of the ground, attempting to grab Ekoro.
“So mean and cruel to those you don’t understand… Kill first, ask questions later, right?”
[FILE ONE SAVED]
“You’re just like the rest.”
Just seeing the giant root incited Ekoro to jump up higher into the air. He laughed on the way up.
“Well, look at that! You failed the test! It’s true, I saw that look on your face…but I never meant to attack! It was all a trick, see? I wanted to know if that look meant anything or if it was just me. If I really meant to attack, I would’ve done this…”
Ekoro held out his hand and produced a bright blue will-o’-the-wisp in his palm. It quickly dissipated.
“I’m sure you don’t wanna pick a fight with me, anyway! I’m a lot stronger than I look! Just like how you’re stronger than you look.”
“What, are you saying you would let me go if I backed down now?”

“Violent?”
Flowey immediately switched his expression to innocent shock. He looked so genuinely surprised and hurt… could the previous menace in his face have been imagined?
“What have I said to make you think that I’m violent? And after I was going to go out of my way to help you…” Flowey shook his head. “No pal, I don’t want to fight you! I was merely offering to teach you how to fit in….”
“Do I look stupid to you?!” Ekoro screeched. He loomed over Flowey, his eyes glowing menacingly upon his silhouette. His mouth also came into view; a glowing, drooling grin stretched unusually wide. His eyes narrowed. “Don’t think I didn’t see that look in your eye. You can’t fool me. I can see right through you…”
His voice went deep. Uncomfortably deep, given his regular cheery and high-pitched voice.
Flowey grins and stretches out his stem so that he is taller. The stem thickens as it grows, and cactus spikes start to protrude out of it. Flowey grins, his mouth too wide for his face, his whole expression looking as though it was melting very slowly. Time to test out those two human souls.

Flowey nods, still smiling, but somehow the expression seems to take on a bit of menace. “Ah, so you know already. Then, perhaps, do you also know how it works down here?” His expression suddenly changed, becoming even more clearly threatening.
“Or do I have to teach you?”
“…you’re being pretty violent for a flower; are you sure you wanna fight me?” Ekoro asked plainly, clearly unamused. Well that facade went down the drain immediately.
“Violent?”
Flowey immediately switched his expression to innocent shock. He looked so genuinely surprised and hurt... could the previous menace in his face have been imagined?

“Ha. Yeah. That kind of sucks.”
Flowey sighed kind of sadly, unable to control himself for a bit. He quickly recovered his chipper mask, however.
“But hey! There’s a way to break the barrier. Do you know what it is?”
“Human souls,” Ekoro replied. He seemed a bit somber at this. He had tried to break the barrier at the request of Gaster and failed to do so. There really wasn’t another way out, was there?
Flowey nods, still smiling, but somehow the expression seems to take on a bit of menace. “Ah, so you know already. Then, perhaps, do you also know how it works down here?” His expression suddenly changed, becoming even more clearly threatening.

Flowey clenched his jaw, trying to determine if the question was meant to make fun of him. He decided that it defiantly was, but that it would be best to feign ignorance.
“Oh, sure! I don’t get to travel nearly as much as I imagine you do, but um. There’s. There’s photosynthesis.”
Flowey was proud of himself for remembering such a big word. Still, he was having trouble thinking of anything really good about being a flower, especially after what he used to be… this was pretty terrible.
From the look on Ekoro’s face, he had a hard time believing that.
“But it doesn’t look like you get much light down here. Plus, I guess you’re trapped down here like everyone else. Someone told me all the monsters were trapped because of the barrier…”
“Ha. Yeah. That kind of sucks.”
Flowey sighed kind of sadly, unable to control himself for a bit. He quickly recovered his chipper mask, however.
“But hey! There’s a way to break the barrier. Do you know what it is?”
