INKTOBER 8: My friend has the loveliest happyface ever. Of all time.Ā
INKTOBER 7: painted a random gray blob, turned it into warrior elf who regrets not cutting her hair and not wearing reasonable armour
INKTOBER 6: that norwegian dude with the giant ginger beard from Game of thrones (Kristofer Hivju) plays in movie about beards and skiing and bros and royal babies
(I got to go to a test-screening for the movie āBirkebeinerneāĀ and it was hella rad.)
INKTOBER 5: Portrait of the artist trying to yoga
INKTOBER 4: The littlest martian (with potato)
I was going to see the martian last night, but I couldnāt make it because of reasons. Planning to go later this week, Whatney is going to have to wait just a bit longer... BE PATIENT DUDE.Ā
INKTOBER 3: In which Bucky Barnes refuse to wear the metal arm.
INKTOBER 2: Drawing of the artistās mother with new shiny smart phone and tiny arms sorry
INKTOBER 1. portrait of the artists with weird brush pen thingie.
Mad Max: Furiosaās Road is my favourite movie right now, five minutes in the future, next week and for ever.

Florian Illes, 1913: The Year Before The Storm
A very interesting month-by-month history of the year 1913. From the bookās description:Ā
It was the year Henry Ford first put a conveyer belt in his car factory, and the year Louis Armstrong first picked up a trumpet. It was the year Charlie Chaplin signed his first movie contract, and Coco Chanel and Prada opened their first dress shops. It was the year Proust began his opus, Stravinsky wrote The Rite of Spring, and the first Armory Show in New York introduced the world to Picasso and the world of abstract art. It was the year the recreational drug now known as ecstasy was inventedā¦.It was 1913, the year before the world plunged into the catastrophic darkness of World War I.
It fit in really nicely with a few of the other books Iāve read this year ā its jump-cut type style reminds me ofĀ Hip Hop Family TreeĀ and the soap opera-like tales of Rilkeās douchery reminded me a lot of David Marksonās books.
Thanks to @theunread for the recommendation!
Filed under: my reading year 2015
I got it because itās beautiful as hell, so of course I havenāt read it. the norwegian translators kept the original title, āthe summer of the centuryā.
I almost didnāt recognize the english title, itās like āDUN DUN DUNNN FORESHADOWING DO YOU REMEMBER THAT WAR AND SHIT HAPPENED IN 1914, AND SEE, RED TEXT!! THE STORM IS COMING, YOU DANCING FOOLS, just you waitā and the norwegian is like āit was a super sweet summer and weāre not even going to mention anything about how it is the year before shit hit the fan, LOOK butterflies! err... why is that butterfly calLED HITLER??!ā
