On Friday I worked my last shift at the store. It was kind of bitter sweet for me. I spent a lot of this weekend taking time to reflect on this chapter closing and what’s next for me. And for once, I’m not in any big rush to fill that void. I’m definitely going to miss my girls, but I’ll see them outside of the store. I’m excited to have my evenings and weekends back!

The only thing I really wanted to do in NYC this time was explore the rest of Central Park and find this Statue. Alice in Wonderland is one of my favorite childhood stories... one of my favorite lifetime stories. Various forms of Alice in Wonderland have come into my life through literature, music (Mad T Party), cosplay... it’s brought me new friends, new views on life... this story means so much to me. I am my own Alice in my own Wonderland. I’ve fallen into this rabbit hole of life and it’s been such a journey, and it will continue to be a journey of ups & downs, laughter & tears, fear & accomplishment, love & happiness! This moment meant a lot to me, especially this quote from the Mad Hatter’s Poem “The Bat” I don’t think I need to explain why.
