I was drifting away, slowly sinking into a velvety blackness until two fuzzy paws caressed my cheeks, gently lifting me from my sleep. “Good morning sleepy head” I felt a familiar warmness and peace. “Its time to wakey wakey eggs and bakey”. I rubbed my eyes and I realized I was laying on the lap of a fuzzy winged creature, but the darkness around us quickly started to unnerve me.
“Where have I been?”
“You've been napping for a very long time” they replied.
I got on my feet as they gestured in front of me. Making fast triangular motions with their paws they began opening a sliver of light that seemed to have come from a distant world, marking the outlines of two long curtains in front of them. The creature reached for the curtain and peeked into the light, but quickly stepped back and glanced my way.
And then they said in a comforting tone:
