A robot--an unthinking, unfeeling machine--yes, but... It was hard to forget that she, too, was a victim of his father's project, that she was a survivor of the AB game, and that while the others might be leaving, she would be here just as he would.

Oh, it was….Kyle. She hadn’t heard from him for months. Not that he’d want to hear from her. There was always a horrible push and pull that came from this sort of thing; she wanted to answer him, then she thought, ‘he wouldn’t want me too’. 

The frown on her face and emptying of her ‘heart’ from this compelled her to go ahead. It wouldn’t hurt.

Unexpected, if anything. He hadn't spoken to Luna in... a very long time. Since before she'd vanished and reappeared, wasn't it? Did she remember that? Who could tell what had happened to her since?

There would be no harm in replying, if they were to be stuck here together, again, forever.

Memories wiped. Going home. He wouldn’t have to deal with this lame-ass city any longer, could forget the bonds he’d formed (and broken), and just… be at peace. With Free the Soul, with the world (messed-up as it was), and with himself.

It wasn't as though Kyle could be surprised. Things had happened in this city that no one should have to remember, but the alternative was hardly appealing, either.
