Should I update this thing?
I’m alive, and healthy (so far) and so is my husband
We have a dog, he is a good boy, he’ll be 2 in June
I still work in a doctor’s office, which is stressful these days even though I’m non-clinical, but at least I have a job.
I miss going to the movies and am filled with ennui (so, same old same old)
I’ll be 32 in a little less than a week and that feels much weirder to me than 30 did because my mom was 32 when I was born.
Basically not much has changed over the years but I think I’m less annoying on the internet. The people who follow me on twitter may disagree.
lol
guess I gotta use this thing once a year now?
Practice run of my costume because I'm actually going to a party tomorrow. I know it's hard to tell but this is definitely Rowdy Roddy Piper in They Live
My brother's identity verification test
Back in 2003, when my friend's mom had whatever I am here pose with my friend and her homecoming date
Continuing a long tradition of doing things for reasons I don't fully understand, I made a playlist of songs I listened to a lot in high school. It's on the long side, but I was in high school for a long time. I left out a lot of things due to embarrassment, forgetfulness, and time constraints. Enjoy, one person who will maybe check this out!
This is the little shit hole I was raised in every other week (the other weeks were spent in a slightly larger shit hole mentioned in the photo essay)
me
When I was in highschool, I want to say tenth grade, I was walking down a hall during the middle of a class period. Probably skipping gym, knowing me. As I got closer to the auditorium this guy, Lee, beckoned me over and told me to sit down in to the auditorium and said he wanted to show me something. I took a seat in the back row and Lee shut the door. It was pitch black and I couldn't see a thing. Then, over the auditorium speakers, "Everything in Its Right Place" started playing. Lee was doing audio for the school play that was in production and had hooked his ipod up to the stereo system. I sat back and took it in. In the darkness I could see colors forming in my eyes, dark blues and reds, like when I can't sleep and stare into the dark too long. Maybe I'm alone in experiencing that, I don't know. When the song finished I thanked him and left. That moment has long been one of my favorite memories and feelings. I went to see Radiohead for the first time last night and it felt just like that but on an even bigger level.
Our friend is obsessed with the chicken in blue shorts video so I made him this for his birthday and I sure hope this is the only instance of chicken in blue shorts fan art.
reminder that snorlax is helping everybody
I dressed up as Snorlax for Halloween in 12th grade because of this video.
Cursive - Excerpts From Various Notes Strewn Around The Bedroom of April Connolly, Feb. 24, 1997
This is a good valentine’s day song, right?
I'm still so jazzed I got to see this live
I got two new pairs of glasses and neither of them have anti-glare.
Might as well put this here
A nice night out.
