I know everyone thinks their favorite field is important but biology is the most important thing to know about because it's what we're made out of
Going deeper into the chemistry is not necessarily going to help you understand being an organism; you don't learn how a computer works just by studying metals and plastics.
Biology is knowing where our breathable air comes from, why we have to eat what we eat, why sleep is important, why species diversity is important, what viruses are and how we fight them, yes the molecular processes under that are cool but they don't always offer applicable context.
