"Science gives us the means by which we can avoid disease, plan our energy use, argue for better water and sanitation, control our time and resources, and understand the clockwork under the movement of the planets" -D Balasubramanian

Science
Science education is the field concerned with sharing science content and process with individuals not traditionally considered part of the scientific community. In teaching Science in school particularly in Elementary, I always think that it is a hard part of being a teacher, explain why students need to learn and study Science. But it becomes easy when you can master and love the lessons you will teach. Science Education is a important part ad lesson of every students will learn. Science is the branch of everything. There is life, energy, sun and moon, planets, universe and galaxies, living and non living things, everything around us is all about Science. For me, teaching science in school has a lot of advantages. In every individual, we must learn science for us we can understand how our life was discovered, how our daily plans can become easy, how science can help our life. Science Education must teach because it is a subject that deals with life. It is important to teach Science since a child is in the Elementary because in early time, they can easily input and gain knowledge how we are living today and how our life began. In order to become truly literate in an area of science, students must, have a deep foundation of factual knowledge, understand facts and ideas in the context of a conceptual framework, and organize knowledge in ways that facilitate retrieval and application.

Science is a way of life. Science is a perspective. Science is the process that takes us from confusion to understanding in a manner that's precise, predictive and reliable - a transformation, for those lucky enough to experience it, that is empowering and emotional. -Brian Greene

Why KIDS need to study science:
Science involves a lot of communication with other people.
Science develops patience and perseverance in kids.
It can help kids form a healthy dose of scepticism.
Science teaches kids about the world around them.
Science can spark in kids' minds that they, too, can help solve the world's big problems

WHY DO WE TEACH SCIENCE?
-S. Beltran
In school, subjects are taught to provide a broad understanding of our world and how it came to be, the processes that it runs by and the laws that govern it, both physical and social. While subjects are included also to give children an idea of what they may be interested in or good at, so as to make choices of career and vocation, they are also meant to give us the basic knowledge that will allow us to function intelligently and productively. To provide literacy, in the broadest sense of the term.
