25 Paragraphs
In this video we are describing Kinetic energy. Kinetic energy is the energy being possessed by a body because of itâs motion, equal to one half the mass of the body times the square of itâs speed. In class we saw this demonstration by the Skate Park simulation. As the skate boarder went down the ramp, it increases Kinetic energy. In this video, Cherry and Her friend Erin  were at a place where people were moving even them. As a result this showed Kinetic energy. -Cherry A In this video we are describing Gravitational Potential Energy. GPE  is any object that is higher than ground level in earthâs gravitational field has potential energy stored in it. We saw this in class by dropping the tennis ball on the ground from high up. As the tennis ball drops from the 20ft mark it bounced back but not as high. In this video, a leaf was falling of the branch. This shows gpe because it didnât dropped from the branch and the branch was at least 20ft high up from the ground. -Cherry A
In this video we are describing Thermal energy. Thermal energy is the energy that is generated and measured by heat. We saw this in class when Mr.pratt burned the black coil thing that caused fire. Â In this video, amanze and cherry were looking at the sun because the sun is a heat source. This connects to thermal energy because the sun is really hot. -Cherry A
In this video we are describing chemical energy. Chemical energy is the energy contained in the internal structure of an atom or molecule. This energy could be in the electronic structure of a single atom or in the bonds between atoms in a molecule. Chemical energy is something that we do a lot in science class. For example when mr.pratt drinks his coffee in the middle of class. This shows chemical energy because everything is made out of atoms including the coffee heâs drinking. In this video, amaze is eating crackers to show chemical energy because sort of like when you burn things you get energy. Your body does the same thing. -Cherry A
In this video we are describing law of conservation of energy. Law of conservation of energy means no energy can be created nor destroyed. We saw this by mr.roths bowling ball demonstration. He let it go and it bounced back to the exact same place where he let go. This shows LCE because no energy was destroyed because it came back. In this video, we built the house of cards to prove and knocked it down to prove that It didnt lose enegy it just transformed into Thermal energy. As a result this shows law of conservation of energy. -Cherry A
In this video we describe inertia. Inertia means a tendency to do nothing or to remain unchanged. Hewan was having a hard time pushing Phuong because of inertia. Since Phuong was at rest, she tends to stay at rest. -Phuong T
In this video, Hewan showed great delayed gratification. Delayed gratification means the ability to resist the temptation for an immediate reward and wait for a later reward. Instead of buying three flowers for a dollar, she waiting until later when she could buy 10 flowers for a dollar. -Phuong T
In this video we describe Atoms. Atoms make up you, your best friend and even your mom.We learned in class that every living and nonliving things have atoms In our video we have Phoung and Hewan explaining the concepts of Atom, telling the audience that they are made of Atoms. Since everything is made of atoms, it is true that you yourself is made of atoms. So what we explained in our video is true.-Phuong T
In our video we describe that we are not actually touching anything. Since electrons are on the ouside of the atom and things with the same charge repel, the electrons replied, so we are no actually touching anything we are only hoveing. In the video we have someone sayingâIm not touching youââ this is true because since the electrons repel, they are not actually touching them like we stated in the video. -Phuong T
In this video we described sound waves. Sound wave is the pattern of disturbance caused by the movement of energy traveling through a medium (such as air, water, or any other liquid or solid matter) as it propagates away from the source of the sound. When Hewan yelled, sound waves traveled through a medium and reached Phuong across the field. -Phuong T
In this video we showed ways to increase torque. In class we learned that we need torque to move the bolt in the bike. To increase it we need to increase the distance and increase the force. We increase the force in our video, we used two people instead of one and to increase the distance we used a longer stick. This shows ways to increase torque -Hewan M
In this video we showed that both us and the earth have gravity, but the earth has more gravity, thats why we are on the earth. In class we learned that everything with mass has gravity and more massive things have more gravity. So since the earth has more mass, it has more gravity causing us stay on the earth -Hewan M
In this video we have one person doing a cannonball jump into the pool and another doing a belly flop into the pool. Since the Belly flop had more area, it had less pressure. In class we learned that pressure equals force/area. So when er added more area in the Belly Flop, it increased the force -Hewan M
In this video we show you three state of matter, ice, water and steam. In class we learned that the 3 states of matter are solid, liquid and gas. We used Ice as the solid, water as the liquid and gas as the steam, so it represents solid liquid gas. -Hewan M
In this video we had one person standing on a high level stool and the other on the ground. This show Weight vs Mass because as you are higher above the ground, you get a tiny bit weight difference, but your mass is still the same. In this we had 2 people people who weigh the same but one was above the ground a couple of feet changing their weight by a little, but keeping the mass the same. -Hewan M
-Silas M
In the video we showed the Myers-Briggs personality test. The Myers-Briggs test was a test to see what type of personality we had. We took different quizzes to get 4 letters. These letters then made a combination that you could look up and see what kind of personality you had. One of the letters told you if you were a clean and organized person, or a messy and random person. In class we all took this test to find out our own personality. In this video, we showed the Myers-Briggs test by having one person who is clean, and one who is messy. These two people have two different letters on the Myers-Briggs test, and this reflects on how they are organized. Since this scene showed two examples of personality types on the Myers-Briggs test, it showed the test itself. -Silas M
In this video we showed Doppler effect. Doppler effect is an effect observed in light and sound waves as they move toward or away from an observer. As the ambulance approaches us, the wavelengths and frequency increased. As it drove away, the wavelengths and frequency decreases. Just like the red shift of a galaxy. -Silas M
In our video we showed F = ma. F = ma means acceleration depends on the amount of net force applied to the object and the amount of mass the object has. That means objects with more mass will accelerate faster than an object with less mass. It also means objects with more force applied to it will accelerate faster than an object with less force applied to it. An example of this is a big massive ball being rolled vs. a small ball with less mass being rolled. If both of the balls are applied to with the same amount of force, the more massive ball will not accelerate as much as the ball with less mass. In our video we showed this by having Cherry push Silas and Hewan in a swing set. She applied the same amount of force to us, but since Silas had more mass, he did not swing as far and as fast as Hewan (who has less mass) did. Since our video had Silas not going as far and fast because of his mass, this means it showed F = ma. -Silas M
In our video we showed Velocity vs. Speed. Velocity vs. Speed is how much distance a certain object is going in a certain amount of time going a certain direction. An example of this is a guy running. If he runs the fastest anyone has ever ran in the world, and then runs back to the exact same spot he started at, he will have a velocity of 0. Then, if he jogs 5 feet, he will have a higher velocity than that. This is because he went further the second time at his ending point than the first time. In the clip Cherry goes up stairs at a certain speed, and stops at the top. She has a velocity higher than 0 because she actually went somewhere in the end. Since she had a velocity, this shows that our video had an example of Velocity vs. Speed in it. -Silas M
During this part of the video we are showing newtons 1st law. Newton's first law was that an object in motion stays in motion unless acted on by an unbalanced force, and an object at rest stay at rest unless acted on by an unbalanced force. In class we saw this when the dry ice was able to move all over the desk until it hit something or was touched. This means if something is moving or in motion it will continue until an unbalanced force can stop it. In our video we see a car driving by an it stays in motion until an unbalanced force is able to stop it. Because of Newton's first we understand why the car in motion stayed in motion because no unbalanced forces were acting on it. -Amanze O
Missing Heat increase rule -Amanze O
In this scene we are showing Grit. Grit can be defined as one's perservance or passion for long term goals. To have more grit would be to push through obstacles to get a job done. e have to show a lot of grit almost every day in class. I am even showing grit right  now by finishing this at 1am. In our video I am trying to be convinced  to jump in the pool, but at first i am hesistant. However, eventually I am able to persevere through the task. Grit is a personality trait that can be beneficial in many situations and helpful in overcoming obstacle. -Amanze O
At this part in the video we are showing simple machines. Simple machines are commonly found on bikes, during the bikeworks project we learned about how the bike had different parts of it that were simple machines. in our video Cherry rides by on a bike which is a demonstarion of where simple machines can be found. We also saw similar things while we worked on the ike worked on the bikeworks project. Because of simple machines the bike is actually able to work properly. -Amanze O
This part of our video is demonstrating the doppler effect. The doppler effect is a change in frequency you hear depending on your perspective of an object. We never really learned about this in class or went in depth. In our video however an emergency vehicle is going by and as it comes toward us the sound from it is a much higher frequency then when it is driving away from us. The dopple effect is bing proven here because of the change in frequency you are hearing from each direction. -Amanze O
