When the twins had heard that their first love, first kiss, first everything had been released from their mother’s care, they were overjoyed, ecstatic, even. They immediately asked for him to be released into their care. El’azar told them she didn’t care, and to do whatever they wanted with Niko. They smirked at that. 

El’azar knew of how they would sneak into Niko’s cell to spend time with him and do other activities. Sexual activities. Andromeda could recall all of the days she’s spent in his cell, on her knees. 

Both of the twins were absolutely and utterly in love with Niko. But they knew how to share. Neither was jealous of the other, and both of them wanted Niko to be happy. 

They were shocked, seeing Niko. El’azar told them that his appearance had changed, but they didn’t expect it to change so much. Andromeda didn’t hesitate and running and wrapping her arms around him. “Oh, I’ve missed you so much.” She murmured in his ear. 

Draco put a hand on Niko’s lower back. “We both missed you.” He said, smiling.

Any logical man who has endured a lifetime of pain rejoices in his freedom, yet, Niko can’t help but dread it. What appears to be his deliverance is only a facade: he leaves, and another takes his place. He could take the abuse, the beatings, the drugs, the needles, and he would gladly suffer eternally if it spared one person from El’azar’s cruelty. 

Niko finds comfort in his girlfriend’s arms and Draco’s traveling hand soothes him. When he first saw himself after the final experiment, he screamed in terror. His master seemed to share his aversion to his current appearance, and frankly, he expected the same from Andromeda and Draco. But here they are, embracing him as if he isn’t the most hideous being to roam the galaxy. 

Should he speak? The thought is terrifying, as he hasn’t spoken in over 10 years and isn’t quite sure if his voice even developed properly. What if they don’t like the way he sounds? 

“A-A-A” He fumbles over the sound, “A-Are y-you g-going t-to t-take m-me a-away, n-now?”

“Niko,” she hummed. “The name suits you well.” She stepped closer to him and hugged him. “You’ve grown so much.”

“Thank you, mummy,” Niko replies as he wraps his arms around Calpernia, “I-I don’t grow anymore. Did you know that?”
