Learning About Perspective

This will be a simple explanation without images of learning about perspective. 

There can be an infinite number of  vanishing points in a picture, just like in real life where objects are foreshortened depending on which way they are facing, and where they are in relation to you. One way to understanding this is to use the box shape, as complex shapes can get you distracted from what is important to focus on; where that object's vanishing points are leading.

 I want you to walk outside. It is preferable to go to a location where you can see all sides for some distance away. Now I have this idea about four main vanishing points that have helped me understand a little more about perspective. However, this title I gave, "4 main vanishing points", is made by myself, so take it with a grain of salt. It's helpful if the idea of perspective is confusing you so that you find what you need to focus on. There's so many distractions in our environments so it can be overwhelming when you have no clue where to look (Like I was confused :d).

Ok, you've found the location? Remember you have to be able to see all around for some distance away.

So find your North, South, East, and West. Focus on looking as far out as you can to see the road appear to converge into one point. Converge means to come together. Even though we know that the edges of the roads don't actually come to a point, from far away it appears as they do. So it's an illusion of the eye. Our eye sees the two sides of a road come together. The word used to describe the spot where the edges unite is called vanishing point.

If you turn 90 degrees to the right, you'll see this same illusion (basically look towards East). Turn to the South side. Again, there's one vanishing point where the landscape appears to converge far off into the horizon. 

It's four main vanishing points. We're focusing on the landscape so don't take objects such as cars or people into account. This was actually a lot of fun for me to see. It was new and exciting to see how a person's eyes see around us.

It kind of fits into the idea of, " don't believe everything you see. " Except we are aware, to some degree unconsciously, that objects don't get smaller every time they move farther from us. The roads aren't becoming smaller into a strip of road, but it's cool to see that even our sight can fool us. Try finding the vanishing points everywhere you go. Focus though, it may seem silly to go from place to place but it's worth it once you see and understand what perspective really is.

It’s All Junk

Screenshot from Labyrinth movie, where Sarah realizes that the material possessions she owned were really just junk, as the real value was the people she cared about, or more precisely, baby Toby. This was the baby she saw as a nuisance, but in reality he was one of the few people who who really going to be present in her life as her only stepbrother. Right then in her youth she would take the role of helping to guide him (he depended on her too); later on when both would reach adulthood, they would be more on equal ground as close siblings and hopefully friends for life. A beautiful scene.

It was interesting to see Jareth dressed up as someone asking for money, well, money most likely as I remember there was another characters who similiarly held a cup out, but Sarah gave him a bracelet. I guess any valuables will do, but back to Jareth, I wonder if he ever just disguises himself as one of his goblins. Hmm...

Labyrinth Fanfic-Jareth’s Catches Hoggle

“Ayy!”    “And where do you think you are going?”    Hoggle jumped a foot and turned with a smile.    “Your majesty! Oh, I was just going to get some fresh air, it felt a teensy bit hot in here, I-...”    “Hogbrain,” Jareth warned, “ I have specifically ordered for all the goblins to stay within my castle. That is... unless you prefer the second option for a troublesome goblin who disobeys my orders.” The second option was being dunked in the Bog of Eternal Stench.    In the darkness of the hallway the dim lit candles began to glow bright, situated above the goblin king’s face. His expression began to morph more menacingly in an orangish reddish flare. Hoggle felt his stomach quake, his lips trembling. The king hadn’t used that menacing tone for a while; actually, Hoggle and the other goblins it seemed, hadn’t seen the goblin king at all, since he stayed long amounts of time within his study room or his private room or-.... who knows where else. Maybe he had gone to visit the human world, but Hoggle doubted it since the goblin king hadn’t visited that place for some time. Hoggle didn’t know how long since time was considered useless anyway; it could change radically in one heartbeat. The only way he knew quite an amount of time had passed was throu the changing color of his hair. Another purple blue strand meant he was older and that was that. He wished Sarah was there. She seemed to deal with the goblin’s anger much better than him. Confrontation was the worst for him. Well, actually...no, the big was the worst.    “No, no, of course not your highness,” Hoggle waved his hands around frantically,  “I would never! You see, I-I am worried about me friend, she has been expecting me and I well, I wouldn’t want to ruin her mood by not visiting her.” He fiddled with his fingers.    “And who is this female that you choose to violate the king’s rules over?” Hoggle was close to melting from King Jareth’s gaze. He wasn’t frowning but Hoggle found that his serious face, (especially his angry eyes) was making the hairs on the back of his neck stand up and crawl back into his collar.    “Ugh...eh, he he.”    “Tell me the truth now Hoggle!”    “You know me name!”    “Hogwart,” Jareth pronounced slowly now, but Hoggle was already astounded. His Highness knew his name all along! He was actually touched!    “We both know where you are going, do such spit it out. It is Sarah you were going to see, right?” Hoggle looked down at his feet. Jareth waited for his response, so Hoggle sighed in defeat.    “Yes, your highness. Sarah is me friend, and she is calling for me. I can't just stay here when me friend needs me.”    Jareth stared at him frowning but it was now his face frowning while his eyes had lost their fiery glow. He moved away from Hoggle and stared through the opening in the wall that led to his throne room. Sometimes the goblins crawled through during their spare time but since the goblins were resting, the night sky was the only thing visible. Jareth felt a strange air once again being in view of the three full moons. He shook all of a sudden, a chill running through home. Should he fastforward time? The night sky's luster and scent usually brought comfort and excitement for the future. This night was dull and dead. No, he'd better not...    “Hoggle I understand your concern but you must obey my orders. I as your king have to make sure that my rules are respected here.”    “Yes ... your highness. I understand.” Right as Jareth began to turn away, Hoggle uttered, “ But how long will your Highness keep us here?” He mentally chastised himself when he saw Jareth swiftly turn his gaze back at him.    “You know very well why I have kept you all here, but how long you will remain here will be decided on in time. I will not have you bringing in outsiders again here without my consent, much less to my castle!” Hoggle had decided not to speak anymore, but Jareth was waiting for his response, so he nodded and said, “Yes, your highness.”    “Good. Now, there's another reason I came here to speak with you, and your friend Sarah, “ he emphasized the adjective friend, “ is involved in this I will be telling you.”    Jareth hadn’t thought he was angry now at Sarah, but apparently, now he was, though he didn’t want to think about the particular reason. He hadn’t really been that mad over her return to the labyrinth, but thinking about how she had convinced his subjects to deceive him made his blood boil. Perhaps it was jealousy that they preferred her, but that was foolish, no. But, her seeming to ignore him also irritated him.    “What? Sarah?!” Was Jareth going to punish her?      “Yes, but you must keep everything I tell you a secret...If you feel that it is impossible, tell me now," He added in, "This has nothing to do with her having come her without wishing."    Hoggle didn't know the details but he knew that if Sarah was involved he had to know what the king was going to say.     “Yes”, Hoggle made a signal showing his closed lips, “ I can keep a secret.”    Jareth looked sideways without moving at the end of the hallway, then turned back, making sure no one was around, then prompted Hoggle into his study room.    The room was lined with shelves of books that rose several feet up the tall room. These shelves were placed onto the walls, and since there were dozens of windows around the side walls, some books tended to fall out of the windows. Pity the fool who was unlucky enough to pass by just as a book tipped over, and it’s incantations within caused an enchantment. That or the goblin was given a good smack on his head from the book’s weight.    Jareth’s desk had a few papers on it and a jar of pencils but it wasn't messy either. A while back the chickens had found their way into his study room and left a few golden eggs and their digested trailings behind on the desk. Jareth had not been too happy about that... and made sure that the goblins were more responsible for their dull-minded companions.    Hoggle sat down on a chair made of interweaving pieces of delicate wood, with lilies tracing each piece back into the bottom of the chair, into the floor itself. Jareth himself sat in a violet chair that resembled his royal red grand throne, but this chair was simpler, made more for comfort than for image.    Jareth rested his arms on the armrests and looked straight ahead, his fingers tapping on the bottom of the armrests. Hoggle thought he was staring at him and felt uncomfortable,(what did he do wrong?), but once he realized Jareth was in his thoughts he relaxed and waited. Jareths shoulders fell, and he placed his elbows on the desk, putting his forehead on his joined fingers.    "I don't know where to begin." His voice was soft now.    "At the beginning your highness," Hoggle's voice was high, so he coughed onto his sleeve, and pretended he had something stuck in his throat.    "That's just it. I can hardly see anymore which, is which. But I will start at any point that first comes to me." Jareth moved his face up, his eyes looking in a way that Hoggle had not seen for a while. Jareth's skin was shade's paler, and his eyes looked almost frightened. Hoggle was more worried now. What was making his Highness so unsettled that he looked like this? Hoggle's trying to be a sneaky goblin again, but this time it's Jareth who catches him before he runs away again.

Labyrinth Fanfic-Sarah’s Thoughts

Sarah had woken up with the pink sky’s morning light shining through her window, through the semi-translucent lavender curtains and onto the left side of her face. She turned her face to her right. Sarah didn’t even notice when she woke up; her dreams had flowed into reality as Sarah realized that they were her memories from the day before. They seemed unreal; her memories of going back to the labyrinth, and having been found out by the goblin king himself right as she was about to slip away back home.    Sarah moved her pillow to the side. She thought over Jareth’s theory about her having created the Labyrinth and the magical world surrounding it. It was impossible still within her mind, but even with the memory of the assurance she felt when leaving that world (that there was something other than her and Jareth who controlled everything there), she was still afraid that perhaps…there was a truth there. Maybe there was something wrong with her, and she had just made that whole world up. In other words, maybe she was crazy. But then again, this was highly improbable and she didn't really believe she was that bad off of her mind.    Sarah also noticed that Jareth himself seemed to hold a considerable less amount of power than she once thought. Behind the idea of him as a powerful but villainous goblin king, he wasn’t the one actually pulling the strings. An image of Jareth looking down in frustration appeared in her mind as she remembered his words...                                                 “No one in my kingdom or this world for that matter is suffering. Only me.”                                                        “King of the Goblins! Hah! I have no true power here. I want...-!"    And then, apart from all of his confusing words, he also said:                                                 “You only appeared after all these years of wait. I was created, Sarah.”    Sarah didn’t even know where to start. If Jareth believed he was created, and he had claimed she created that fantasy world, then did he ultimately believe he was created from her imagination? That must be why he was blaming her… but... she needed to ask some questions because all this new information was killing her.    She thought of something else as she turned her body to one side of her bed, reaching over to cover her cold arms. Her cold fingers she placed on her warm cheeks.    All of this was changing her image of him, in what way she could not place her finger on. He had snarled back at her with clear intent to make her know he was mocking her, but then... he started talking about his own pain and that confused her. The switch of conversation, how he looked afraid. From smiling like he knew something you didn’t, to looking away in distress; it was a disconnect. It reminded her of his somber expression while he asked her to be his queen, holding up the crystal and speaking of his supposed love. He had tried to manipulate her.    Sarah grabbed her pillow and closed her eyes. Maybe going back to the fantasy world had been a mistake. She had thought that going there would bring her back empowered, but all it did was add on another puzzling thought. Jareth had sounded so insistent, so sure when he had uttered those words about her being the creator of that fantasy world, and now these words were nagging her...         ...     It was about to be the thirteenth hour...      After she remembered her words, Jareth had thrown up the crystal that held her dreams. He had fallen down into his owl form, his cloak of feathers forming into his wings. Sarah didn't see when he disappeared, looking at her own hand. She had opened her hand before the crystal fell down and broke, but the crystal had shocked her. It popped as soon as it laid on her fingers, exactly like a bubble! By then Sarah knew that what she had been searching for all long, her current “dreams," were not dreams she truly wanted. This hurt so much that Sarah felt the temptation to just turn her back on this revelation. But she wouldn't this time; she wanted the truth above everything else. And now she had it, she could feel she had a power of her own. The dull crystal had shown nothing all along; it popped within her palm into nothingness as well. She hardly felt it.    The sky's colors changed, and Sarah felt her floor disappear. Like before at the staircases, she didn't fall but rather floated down like a gentle breeze. Softly at first, a sort of musical sounding notes was heard, and Sarah looked back up into the sky. She felt her mouth smile involuntarily as warm energy filled her chest, but she didn't know why a strong emotion was consuming her.    Sarah had thought that the music sounded almost like a voice, that resonated around her, seeming to come from everywhere. But it was light... and strangely comforted her. It was talking to her. Sarah tried to listen but she didn't understand. Sarah felt herself being guided down back to her world, and she saw the vague figure of her brother Toby in his crib. At one point Sarah thought she heard her name being called out, and turned back, only to reappear in her room. Wings of an owl flapped around, and the window swept open to release him from the room.                                                     She... had made it. She had made things right.    Sarah had fallen asleep again but she opened her eyes suddenly. She was in awe at her memory coming back with more detail. Why hadn't she remembered it this vividly yesterday?    "There is something else," she whispered in awe, " it's not me..."    She placed a palm over her chest as she remembered an overwhelming feeling. It had weighed down on her, a force that made her skin fill with goosebumps and her breathes come quickly, almost too quickly.    Sarah took a few minutes pondering, pacing around while biting lightly on the skin of her thumb. But she felt a rush of tiredness seep into her body. Sarah sat down on the chair that was in front of her mirror and touched her forehead lightly.    There was something else in the midst. She needed to find a way to know more. But then again, maybe she didn't have the right to be lurking into something that might not even have an answer. And why would she be told anyways by anyone who knew; she was an outsider.    Sarah didn't know what to do anymore. Telling Hoggle was what she wanted to do first. But how could she cross into the goblin kingdom again when no humans were allowed? She had already been caught once by Jareth himself, but he had been so bothered by his ideas that he hadn’t punished her as she had assumed. After all, the small goblins that had crawled into her room had told her specifically: no humans are allowed to enter the goblin land unless they wish for it.    But there was a catch: once you wish yourself away you must either stay or go through another quest through the labyrinth. Perhaps he would come to her to take her away, but she doubted it. Now if she went again, then he would definitely force her to either stay or go through the labyrinth again.     Ok, then, she had convinced Ludo and Hoggle before to take her into the goblin kingdom without wishing, but then again-!     ?!    Oh no! Ludo and Hoggle!    Were they okay?!    Sarah jumped up from her bed, opening her mouth wide in a gasp. How had she forgotten about her friends?! Sarah hoped they were not punished for bringing her along without wishing,(and without following the rules) but then again the other goblins had told her the punishment for bringing a human was as followed: being dunked into the Bog of Eternal Stench.    Sarah brought her chin to her chest in shame. If they were ducked within that nasty swamp she would never forgive herself. She almost wanted to cry, but she brought herself out of her thoughts. She needed to go back!    But... could she, knowing she might not come back? Sarah called her friend's names. They didn't appear. Sometimes they were busy or they just didn't come, but Sarah couldn't shake her impatience. She quickly thought of the consequences of her wishing to be taken. She stood up straight.    "I wish I was at the kingdom of the goblins."    ...    “I wish the goblins would take me away to the goblin kingdom.”    "I wish the goblin king would take me away!" She said louder. Sarah stayed still waiting. She looked around. She searched in her cupboard, under the bed, between her books, everywhere, but no goblin appeared.    “Ludo….Hoggle! Sir Didymus? Merlin! Any of you, where are you?” But no answer came, and Sarah looked again, calling out their names, but there was silence.  Sarah opened the door of her room put to Toby who fast asleep, but the goblins weren't there. Sarah walked slowly in her blue slippers. She thought about going to her father and stepmother's room, but just before turning the doorknob Sarah lost her nerve. She went back to her room, and sat down on her bed, placing her elbows over her folded legs.    Had something happened? Her friends usually answered her call. Maybe the goblin king had punished them and the rest of the goblins who helped her. Now how would she get to that world? There was no way of knowing.    "I need you Hoggle." She whined softly at her mirror, but knew now they would not come.     She suddenly got up to open the windows and peered outside. The sun had changed the sky's colors, rising up a little higher now. Sarah looked around, trying to see through the leaves of the tree that clustered together and blocked her view.     Nothing.    “Jareth?” This was the first time she ever called out his name. It sounded foreign to her lips. The wind rushed through the window, and Sarah thought he had heard her words and was coming inside in his owl form like last time. But no... it was just a rush of air. She parted the hair that had blown on her face.      “What should I do now?”

Labyrinth Fanfic-Sarah’s Realization

"Sarah!" Jareth had reached her easily.  After all, one step from him was about three steps for her, but seeing as Sarah had rushed forward with anger expecting to be "decently" farther away, it did not make her one bit happy that he had no problem  reaching her. She crossed her arms.    Now Jareth was trying to read her face. His expression was solemn, but she knew he was analyzing her because his green and brown irises were tracing her face. As a result, Sarah tried her very best to control her facial gestures, putting on her own solemn mask and looking at his face the same way. But a part of her was afraid of what could be written on her face. Sarah hadn't perfected being able to remain stone-faced; actually, she was even more afraid of never being able to control her nervous gestures. They made her feel like she was reverting back into a child, and herself as a child had been the little girl who always seemed to say or do the wrong thing, the one who often felt a fool in comparison with everyone.     Damn, she thought.    Jareth stepped forward in her path, signaling with his palm up for her stop. Her brow wrinkled, but she stopped.    "Sarah, you are running away. This exhausts me, so just stay put now for a moment."    Sarah had had it. If she didn't want to listen, she didn't want to listen. How hard was it to understand! He couldn't make her!    Jareth himself was astonished at his words. These were words that he had kept quiet for a long time, and now he had thrown them out. But now that he had said something, he felt the impulse to say everything.    Sarah answered him," I am not forcing you to do anything. It is you... I, I have no power over anyone, except for myself." She gulped down her saliva, biting her lips but still standing firm. This was the truth, at least she wanted it to believe the second part, that she did have power over herself at the very least.    The goblin king shook his head, walking closer to Sarah. He had never look tenser in her presence. His chest rose up and down sharply, his eyes wide looking nowhere, his mouth dry and frowning.      "No Sarah, I have no power over myself, nor this kingdom nor anyone. I've dreaded to say this since the very start, but it is much, much worse to live in a lie." He breathed in, "Everything here just might be a product of your thoughts, desires. As soon as you finish playing with this thought created for your self-interest, we will all be gone. We will cease to exist."    What?    What was this he had revealed to her? A cold force was seeping through, and the surroundings disappeared, leaving only her thoughts.        He was afraid... of disappearing? But how, the goblin kingdom, this world, wasn't hers. It was his, wasn't it? She didn't understand. But...he was telling her she controlled it, not only that but that she had created it?! These words that seemed to come out of the blue, brought a strange atmosphere into the air. Sarah had never once thought about the Labyrinth having been created from her mind like a dream; as in; a figment of imagination. Because she had been there she had just taken it as real even if it could sometimes still appall her.    Now a new thought had formed: What if... she had created the labyrinth from her imagination? Or what...if it was all a dream...    No! No, this was not true! She knew it couldn't, it was too real, too fresh in her mind.    No, she knew she was spiraling out of reason, and railed herself back in. This wasn't true. If Sarah controlled the labyrinth then she would have gone through the labyrinth in less than a minute, or just dissolved it all. Her imagination could not create this world, it didn't matter how strong it was. Besides, she was a human being, not a God. This conversation didn't even make sense!     His random assumption had thrown her off balance from her thoughts. Now she was silently going over it when it held no actual logic, even if the labyrinth itself was unfathomable, she only believed what she had seen so far. Why was the goblin king thinking this? It didn't make any sense when he was the one who took her into the labyrinth, who used magic to place obstacles in front of her like the cleaners. He had tricked her with the help of his goblins as she had tried to save her brother. Why was he saying this now? Was it a trick? But to what purpose?     Images of the Labyrinth spun through her mind, as she remembered how her own realizations of the labyrinth had allowed her to cross through the labyrinth. For a moment Sarah decided to entertain his idea. She had taken everything for granted. The changing pathways had stopped her, but she had questioned it, and a path she hadn't seen was revealed to her. She had solved the two guard's riddle herself, and each time she changed her mind after getting frustrated, it seemed like everything became clearer, the pathways seemed to open up like they were following her mind.     Sarah's decision to grow brave for her brother, maybe it was she who allowed herself to find Toby and defeat King Jareth. Sarah had solved the labyrinth once she changed the way she was thinking, and learned that things were not as they seemed. In a heartbeat, everything could change as long as someone had the desire to make the effort, (she could change), and most importantly, what resonated with her heart and mind were the words she came to understand at the final moment against the goblin king:                                                                 you have no power over me    This realization hit her hard, and Sarah felt her body pull down in weakness. She stood back up firmly.    Could it be-She had controlled this world!    Maybe it wasn't a mysterious force of the labyrinth itself having tested her, but maybe she was the one who had created it, and changed it so that once she learned what she knew all along she would allow herself to cross through the labyrinth and find her brother!     Her eyes were wide, looking at the goblin king in front of her who was gazing at her running expressions. Was this true? Would they all disappear, her friends, the whole kingdom itself with just the power of her mind. No, Sarah couldn't possibly. Again, Sarah railed herself back in from her sudden frenzy. This far-fetched idea, (because that's what it must be?), was becoming scarier by the second, but a thought railed her back in. A memory flashed.     Sarah remembered an important detail of when she had reached the end of the labyrinth, and it was a special energy she felt at having uttered her words that gave her a feeling of power over herself. She had felt part of the world itself, as she became a different person from herself. The world around had broken up and Sarah had fallen back to her world, but she had felt protected by something, and it wasn't herself. It was something else, but Sarah could not understand it even now. Like the whole world there was alive, somehow...    Sarah shook her head, as the thought disintegrated, and her head began to hurt. But she knew: this world was not dependent on her. It thrived on itself, its mystery belonged to itself.     "Did you-do you, control the labyrinth?" She knew the answer, but she asked anyway, sitting down on a flat boulder.    Jareth was confused, not knowing where her train of thought had gone through her train of thought and where it was heading now.    "Why do you ask me that?" He leaned towards her.    "Tell me so that I can answer you."    He moved back,  teeth sneering evilly, and he brought his head back into a laugh.     "I used my magic and goblins to trick you back to the beginning. You were this close to falling into my spell, " He signaled to her with one hand, "But you resisted me at the very end of every test. "     The atmosphere turned to one of uncomfortable silence, as Jareth's voice faltered, and he appeared more bothered. He sat down on a boulder near her.     "No." He peered at her, " I can use my magic, my subjects to lead you away from a pathway but I cannot change the labyrinth itself."    He had stopped talking for a bit, and they were still for a minute before Jareth continued his speech, "I had thought that it controlled itself and that it changes depending on who enters it(if they dare.) Only the inhabitants of this kingdom, my subjects can find their way here, most of the time anyway, and myself of course, without the labyrinth changing up. But I don't need to cross through the labyrinth, as you yourself have seen from the very beginning, my powers allow me to cross this labyrinth swiftly, and without delay."        He was referring to his shape-shifting powers. King Jareth had also disappeared in the beginning when he had given her the rules of the labyrinth. Maybe he could also transport himself. How else would he have passed through the labyrinth to his castle so quickly? Sarah remembered that when he had thrown the crystal ball into the cleaner he had also mysteriously disappeared.    Her lips were filling up with numerous questions that were impatient to burst out, but she bit her mouth in caution.    "But you knew the way inside Sarah. Perhaps you don't realize yourself that you could."       ...    " What are you thinking about Sarah?  I see so many strange expressions on your face but I cannot understand with just those expressions, tell me. "    Sarah sighed as a drop of rain touched her forehead.    "No one will disappear from here. I don't have that power. You're the goblin king, so you are the leader here. I would never destroy this world, and I couldn't anyway. You must know this."    He was coming closer, eyes on hers,  and hers on his. Had he understood?    " I don't think you realize what is you have done." He turned away, and swiveled back again, now sneering again. Sarah had seen many multiple different sides of him; she hardly knew which was which.    "I said that your strength and imagination was an admirable quality, Sarah, but you should also know that they have resulted in the curse that only I suffer. No one..." He almost seemed choked up now, "No one in my kingdom or this world for that matter is suffering. Only me. Do you understand the reason?"    Jareth knew that there was no way Sarah could know why he was losing his head; his mind at least was his own, but his wrath was building up from being so long restrained. He was tired, tired of having questions, of being a pawn for the girl, of everything!    Sarah felt that he had fallen into his own bubble of thought. She was almost frightened as his sudden actions. He was speaking for himself, pacing around, and she could not keep up.    "No, of course not. You are Sarah, after all. You only appeared after all these years of wait. I was created, Sarah. I'm a shadow of a man," He scoffed mockingly, raising his hands in the air, "King of the Goblins! Hah! I have no true power here. I want...-!"    His eyes widened, before swiveling his face towards hers. A realization, but she didn't have enough information to know what it was.     " I must go now. " He made a sharp breath in but composed himself fairly quickly. Jareth picked up his staff lying on a few hairs of grass.     "You've flustered these thoughts, Sarah. We will no doubt cross paths again, but I am not sure that there will be no dire consequences next time." He stopped in front of her once more and hesitated. But he didn't say anymore and left.    She sat for a couple of minutes, feeling the wind pass by, and the sprinkling of the rain vanish before it even began.    ...    "Sarah! Sarah!"    "My lady,  where art thou?!"    "Sarahhhh! My friend,  my friend Saraaahhhh!"    It was Hoggle,  Sir Didymus, and Ludo. Sarah felt a tender feeling wrap itself around her heart. Her friends were worried about her, searching for her. She stood up immediately.    "I'm over here!" Sarah yelled, but her eyes looked to the side where Jareth had left.     When her friends arrived,  they expressed their eased worries,  and Ludo carried her back with the others to her world. Sarah's nerves relaxed, and she let her shoulders and feet fall down onto the ground before they took her away in Ludo's arms. They placed her onto her bed back home, lifting the warm covers over her body. They stayed for a bit, talking with her without knowing that Jareth had crossed paths with her, and she herself didn't say anything; she simply wanted to talk about normal things, well, normal as they could be with goblins.    Sarah waved goodbye to them when they left back into their world. Sarah was grateful, even though her mind melted back into a faraway place inside of her, and a faraway goblin king was also pondering in his own lost world. What was going through the goblin king's mind, why had he had said what he had said? More importantly, what was bothering him so much to point that he had gotten so frustrated?                                                                        "I don't think you realize what you've done."                                                                                                ...                                                                                                  ...
