✥ | “Yes, that’s me.” She says, smiling over at the other. Another hero must’ve come to fight with the Order of Heroes and Askr. Megan held the dragon stone close to her heart, and a nod came from the raven. “It’s nice to meet you, Lyn. I take it you’re one of the Heroes called to Askr as well?”
“Ah yes. I was summoned not too long ago, though I have yet to really meet everyone yet. Still need to settle in to the routines and such.” And for the fact she still sometimes gets lost inside the castle. She was not used to such large buildings, even the one she stayed in with her Grandfather was not nearly as larger as this. Though she supposed it would need to be to house as many heroes as it did.
“And what of yourself? Have you been here for a while?”
prodiigious:
“ You’d…you’d teach me? That’d be great! Well, uhm, only… if you aren’t feeling too tired, though. I know my training sessions can be… quite exhausting at times… ” [ For a moment, Clara’s expression lightened up at the idea of becoming, even for just an afternoon, the apprentice of one of the best swordmasters in her army. But then again, the Summoner was aware of how many hours of practice her Heroes had to endure and wished to make sure she wouldn’t take some free time away the other could spend by relaxing. ]
“It is quite alright Summoner. I am used to training for hours on end. I would be happy to devote some of my time towards teaching you.” A genuine smile touched her lips, Lyn placing a hand on her shoulder gently. It was true that Lyn put many hours every day into her training, but she saw no reason as to why she could not add a few more to helping Clara with her own sword skills.
“Please, just let me know whenever you would like to train. I am more than happy to pass my father’s techniques down to another.” She knew that is what her father wanted more than anything, to have Lyn pass down her skills, to keep her family’s spirit alive in the techniques she shared. Clara might not be her child, but the swordswoman would train her as if she was.
bravingskies:
Upon the other hero’s response, the warrior princess merely nods at her direction. Strange as it is, an array of responses delivered when she announces her homeland. Some claim Nohr and Hoshido to be a mythical land, others, claim to have never heard of them before.
‘ It appears that many heroes here have never heard of either Nohr and Hoshido before, ’ she notes as if its a matter of fact. A shrug accompanies her words as she continues to finish cleaning up the tip of her naginata. ‘ Where are you from, Lady Lyndis? ’
“It is not something that I think would be uncommon. This place seems to pull heroes from all different times and worlds. Most seem to not know of Elibe either.” There was a light, bubbly laugh that came from the plainswoman as she focused on cleaning the Sol Katti’s blade.
“Myself? I am from Elibe, at least that’s the continent. More specifically I am from the Sacean Plains. Miles and miles of flat lands populated with animals that thrive in such conditions. It was a very nomadic life I lived, and yet I would not trade it for the world. The Plains are still my home, even if I cannot be on their soil now.”
vasilissadrakon:
A bark of laughter at that, “Oh, aye they think of themselves highly, but then they get in the dirt after being one-upped by one who’s not noble; well, they learn hard fast that nobility and titles mean nothing in a kingdom like this.” Camilla chuckled, her good eye curved as she idly twirled her axe about, mindful of where it spun. Eventually, she paused as Lyn walked over, giving a small tip of the head.
“Spar? I presumed wrong - I thought you were simply out for a walk.” Camilla gave a small chuckle, “I suppose you may. I cannot say I will be of good use - but I guess that is the nature of most things, no?”
A slight laugh at the words of the other, Lyn couldn’t help but giggle at the scene of some of those pompous royals being knocked into the dirt by a regular soldier. Though when Camilla confessed she had thought Lyn was only out for a stroll brought a very minute smile to her face.
“Ah, I tend to train rather early and merely woke up a bit later than usual.” At the Queen’s other words it was Lyn’s turn to give a tiny tilt of her head. Will not be of any use? That is preposterous, every training session one can learn something from.
“Do not worry Lady Camilla, I am sure you will be of great help. One can always learn something from a training session, even if it is just small, minute changes they should make.”

⊰ ‘ ✧ 𝙼𝙾𝙽𝙰𝚁𝙲𝙷 ✧ ’ ⊱ a bittersweet expression crossed his face. kris’ index finger fiddling with an odd tress, laughing nervously. ❝ i’d be quite mortified without their company. thrust into the unknown and facing culture shock ?? it would wear down my battle prowess. ❞ ergo, he would be disturbed by their absence.
❝ i’ve skimped on library trips lately ; my excuse of not recognizing your home. i’ll learn better by conversing with one of its citizens, anyways. ❞ the shift in lyn’s mood is not uncaught. hmn, nevermind, thought kris. ❝ i’d love to spar with you, but i’ve been meaning to head to the quarters to return a trinket i’ve acquired. do … you know where linde’s quarters is ?? ❞
“Ah, I see. Not one for a nomadic lifestyle then I take it?” A small laugh, hand covering her mouth to stifle it somewhat. More of a joke than an actual question, the swordswoman looking towards him at his question about a room. Linde? She does not believe she has heard that name before now. Perhaps it would do good to talk more frequently with the other heroes.
“I’m afraid I do not. Perhaps it might be best to seek herself out first? I’m sure there are others would might be able to tell you her location.” It seemed a bit odd to Lyn, to seek out one’s room to return something instead of returning it to the person themselves. She wanted to ask about that decision but refrained, it was none of her concern.
❝ Their sorrow is my sorrow, their anger is my anger. ❞

evocatriice:
“ Yes, you could say that… both of those can be considered the main reasons why I chose… to wield a lance, Lyn. ” [ Truth be told, Clara had tried various weapons before making up her mind, but considering the disastrous results she obtained with magic and bows, lances seemed the lightest and easiest item to use. ] “ However… by seeing you and other talented sword users, I cannot deny I’ve… been thinking to learn at least the basic of swordplay… ”
“Do you, Summoner? If you would like, I would not mind teaching you to handle a sword. It might prove to come in handy in battle if you are ever disarmed of your lance.” An excited smile was given at the prospect of passing down the art of swordplay she had learned from her father. It was not completely the same as his, for he died before teaching her everything. She had her own flavor to it, one that Clara could expand upon or replace with her own if she wanted.
stratesia:
“hm?”
They turned around to the woman as she spoke. They didn´t expect somebody to speak with them out of nowhere. Not that they truly mind. What she told him however…was truly interesting.
“ Truly?”
“Well, if this isn´t odd…this…sound actually a lot like me…just that I was found in a simple field in Yilssen.”
“Quite interesting. I suppose it could be merely coincidence... though it is rather eerily similar tales. I owe that tactician my life on many occasions, as well as helping me meet my Grandfather.” She does sometimes wonder what became of that tactician, if they lived a good life, where they went, if they ever passed by each other later in life.
“I hope whoever found you appreciates your assistance as much as I did with my own tactician.”
monarchfled:
⊰ ‘ ✧ 𝙼𝙾𝙽𝙰𝚁𝙲𝙷 ✧ ’ ⊱ ❝ i’m faring well today, thank you. ❞ name ?? the lord grimaced ; kris wasn’t a proper hero, per se. ❝ my name is kris. i fight under the shepherd’s banner, long story short. and you’re … lyn, if i’m not mistaken ?? i’m unfamiliar with your continent. ❞
“I see. The shepherds seem to have a lot of their ranks pulled here. I suppose it may be for the best to have so many that are familiar with one another.” There was a smile, followed by a nod at his question.
“Yes, Lyn is my name. I’m not too surprised at hearing you do not know Elibe. it seems people from all over time and worlds have been plucked out and thrown into here. Though, it is a relatively peaceful continent... despite certain events that transpire now and then.” A slight grimace at the memories of Nergal.
vasilissadrakon:
There was a pause in the swing of the axe as Camilla heard the footsteps of another. Her good eye glanced, catching sight of the green-haired sword user. Lyn, was it? Camilla hadn’t been there at the summoning - many Heroes were banned for attending such a ceremony due to some sacred reason.
A lot of empty airs, yet the Nohrian Queen would abide by such a rule.
“That’s my name, don’t wear it out~”Camilla said with a wink, and eased out of her mid-swing to stand normally; axe resting on the ground, blade pointed out. A habit of hers, “I presume you’re one of the newer ones? Lyn, was it?” She gave a small half bow, her training attire making it difficult for her to properly greet, “Camilla, of Nohr. Queen, but you needn’t put on airs. We’re all the same here.”
“I see. A pleasure, Camilla. And yes, Lyn is my name.” There was a soft smile towards her, a slight bow to her as well. She would not have put on airs even if the other had not told her not to. Lyn was not one for that kind of things, she never grew up with that so the concept of acting differently based on rank was foreign to her.
“I am glad you think we’re the same. I’ve overheard conversations of others who do not think the same way. It is rather exhausting to say the least.” She rested a hand on her sword pommel, walking towards the beauty. “Though, if I may. Might I ask to spar? I figure since we’re both out here, it would make little sense to not help each other.”
@sclkatti started following you
She was running, running, not towards anything, no, and not running away from anything either. No, Lethe was just, running, running in these open fields, the vast oceans of grass that seemed to stretch out for leagues.
This was not Gallia, but the land felt like Gallia, nothing but open space and the freedom to run wherever the laguz chose to go… that was, until her transformation failed and she found herself crashing into a tent.
She groans, fixing her hair and her clothes, that tent came out of nowhere…
Lyn had been practicing her sword skills outside of her tent, enjoying the sun the shone down on the plains, warming her skin with its touch while the occasional breeze fluttered by to wave her hair. They had defeated Nergal only half a year ago, some scars still fresh on her arms and in her mind. She came back to the plains to help heal them, to be surrounded by the familiar emptiness.
She had not known anything was going on until she head the crash against her tent, jumping around to face it, Sol Katti raised in front of her in a defensive position. She slowly circles around the tent until she saw the person who apparently had crashed into her tent. They didn’t seem all that threatening...
“Hello?” Lyn called out, lowering her weapon ever so slightly.

“Your name is Megan, right? A pleasure to meet you. My name is Lyn.” The Plains woman gave a soft smile a hand resting on the pommel of Sol Katti, the blade safely tucked in its scabbard and connected to her hip. She watched the other with sparkling emeralds, taking in their form as much as she could, get a feel for her.

The swing of a sword, metal clashing with metal as the blade of Sol Katti stopping against the Falchion in her sparring partner’s hands. There was a determined and focused expression on the Sacaean’s face. A quick smirk before she pulled back, letting the blades slide away from each other. The swordswoman backed up a bit, holding onto the grip of Sol Katti tightly.
“You are a very worthy sparring partner, Lucina. Your father must be proud.”

“Hoshido?” The name was foreign to the swordswoman, unsure of where such a place called could be. Perhaps a different continent?
She looked to Hinoka, gazing at her form and her attire. It seemed to very slightly resemble what Lyn herself wore, though only in the very, very basics of design choices. The overall shape and style were still worlds apart.
“I don’t know any such place called that.”
