You are not sure if you would count yourself lucky in that regard, but… You grin, the wide grin that seems to unnerve all of your friends the most, and shake your head, placing your hands together and tugging them apart carefully. Between them, one of your seldom-used musicboxes seems to unfold, fractal and glimmering, and you let its tinny, fragmented melody play as you idly slow and speed up the time around the both of you. “Actually, I was fighting the Angel of Double Death for the sake of the remainder of reality and the new one some of my friends were trying to escape into! Watching universes collapse is oddly satisfying! Would recommend, if you can handle the vacuum of space!”

you watch as the world seems to lag — just before it catches up on itself on a moment’s notice, deconstructing what you once knew was LINEAR and PACED. the music box that she’s summoned seems like more than just STRIFE EQUIPMENT. its handle spins hypnotically. you were not under the impression that burgundies could have such powerful, mind-altering PSYCHIC INFLUENCE.

but you are captivated most of all not by what happens around you, nor by the implement the rust has summoned — it is the UNNERVING GRIN that stares you down with its pearly whites. you’ve never felt like you’ve met eyes with a smile. such metaphorical eyes tell you OMINOUS STORIES.
