akemura not showing up at all in the chapter literally named chiaki feels like how fushiguro was not mentioned until the final chapter of modulo like why is he not there at all 😭 they’ve shown him once this entire arc and then never again

#kagurabachi #this felt honestly like a bit of a Fumble on expanding chiaki past in love with kunishige #her passive suicidality and dehumanisation is interesting sure and demonstrates how absolutely toxic clans can be to the individual #we saw it with hakuri sure but imo it hits harder with chiaki who DOES exactly fufill the role bestowed upon her yet is still not valued #additionally as a woman she surely faces misogyny as princess soga <- evidenced as her being a sacrificial bride as a means to an end #but i feel like we don’t get much from chiaki past her internalisation of her not being her own person #which then leads to her not caring about ‘princess soga’ bc she knows everyone else does not genuinely care for princess soga #but she still very much feels like her personality is still very much majorly ‘in love with kunishige’ and i want more;#like what did she used to dream of? was she content as a servant or even then did she want more #i was really hoping that she had some combative abilities but im not holding out for hope🥲#in other news them planning to have hikyuki essentially be a baby nuke is rlly funny #my goat isn’t even born yet and they want to send her to war
