🍀In all my 49 years of living I have never known the mythology of St Patrick. 🍀Did you know he was born in Scotland? Apparently, he is also well known for miracles. This image depicts a specific miracle. (Now I know where all the pot of gold themes come from!)😮

While in his teens Patrick was kidnapped, taken to Ireland, and sold into slavery to a pagan chieftain. After six years in captivity, an angel came to him in a dream and showed him a place where gold was buried. he retrieved the gold, and some sources say he bought his freedom, others say he escaped and fled back to Scotland. In either case, he became a priest and later a bishop, and eventually made his way back to Ireland and began his ministry. (Story taken from smithapplebyhouse.org)
