Andy shook her head at his light joke. “I might have wanted to do that at first but now not so much.” She teased finding the awkwardness between them melting away. Even though she told herself that it was never going to be the same between them and that she should just move on and do her job, she couldn’t. There was always that spark of hope she felt that he’d find his way back to her. That they really were meant to be together. She wondered what he would think if he knew what she did in her moment of weakness. “I’m glad we’re friends.” She said unfolding her hands and picking the menu back up. It would definitely be hard to do on her part but it was necessary. “I think maybe i’ll have what you had last time.” She smiled putting her menu down and tucking a piece of long blonde hair behind her ear.

"Very comforting, but the offer will be on the table until we're both on our deathbeds." His grin broadened. "With the onion rings? Good choice." Scott ordered a patty melt with a chocolate milkshake, and the server stood by drumming her fingers on her order pad as she waited for Andrea to order. "And you?" she impatiently asked the blonde.

"Oh! Oh wow, oh god. I um, I forgot." Aidan rubbed at his eyes, looking from side to side. His movements and body language were far too uneasy than usual. Out of anyone who could have come to see him it had to be Prescott. "Could we reschedule? I’m not feeling that good right now, yeah? Sorry shit’s going down and all, but shit. I can’t go out… Too busy with everything.” He spoke rapidly.

Prescott squinted his eyes, observing Aidan more carefully. His brows creased with concern. "Dude, are you okay?" It didn't faze him that Aidan might have lit up a joint today. He was more worried about a bad reaction. Some shitty dealers were known to put weird drugs in, so Scott was ready to drive him to the hospital if anything was amiss. "You don't look good man. We don't have to go anywhere. Let's go inside."

Prescott really hates and loves everything about Aidan all at once. He can't really hate him though since he gives him lap dances and gets pissed drunk with him without judgement. Hillary sat at her usual booth in the cafe, an untouched cup of coffee situated between her fingertips. Time was not of the essence, but to others it might’ve seemed like she’d been sitting there for far too long.

Scott had just wanted a cup of coffee, but the cafe was a lot more crowded than he had anticipated. He decided that instead of waiting in line for eternity, he'd sit down until the crowd lessened. The tables and even couches were full of people. There was a chair open across from a woman with a solemn expression. He sighed, rubbing his neck thoughtfully. He approached the seat, and he asked, almost in a mumble, "D'you mind if I join you? I can't seem to find a seat..."

The stillness of the afternoon was quickly interrupted as Aidan felt the rush of the white powder go straight to his head, it was like his adrenaline and anxiety had spiked up at the same time. He had remembered Irene saying how she tried coke once, but the blonde boy realized this was not his kind of high.

A knock made him jump. S h i t. “Be— Be there in a sec.” He blinked hard, clearing the table all while shaking. When his apartment looked good enough he swings the door open. “Hey, hi. What’s up?”

"Dude are you serious? You said you'd meet me to grab some coffee and bagels. I was waiting for thirty minutes. I told you I had to tell you some shit." He gripped the door frame with a scowl on his face.

When did you become such a drama queen? Seriously, you should talk to Payton, sort everything out than wallow in that so-called pain you’re in.

I have no idea. God, this is not the kind of stress I need in my life. Yeah, you're probably right. [sighs]

[Looks at Art with concern] Okay, yeah. I promise. What's up? Why're you talking like that?

"Some more than others." She said with a small smile.  She didn’t know if Scottie knew why she was there but she liked that he didn’t bring the drugs up.  It made her feel like she could get past it.  She smiled at him again and nodded.  "Good, I’ll have to smack you if you ever do."  She looked up and down the street.  "Okay my dear body guard, lead the way."

"Touche," he replied. The sun was high in the sky with almost no clouds. The weather seemed like it was welcoming them to the park. "Remind me never to tell you when I do." He stuck out his tongue at her childishly. He snapped himself back into bodyguard mode at her request. "Of course, right this way." He began to navigate the blonde through the decently crowded streets.

But she’s close to Aidan, you know we’ll always see her no matter what. Have you talked to her?

-he takes another sip of beer and began- Well…you have to promise not to throw any punch and that you’ll hear me out 'till the end alright? Promise me!

Yeah, we all basically grew up together, so it makes sense. Yeah a little... I don't want to talk. I don't want to be in any more pain than i am already in now.

[He takes a sip of his own beer, giving Arthur a weird look] Ooookay... what?

“Way too long.  But really I have no one to blame but myself.”  She laughed and smiled back at him.  When the entrance was in sight and Scottie urged her to make a run for it, she did so.  When they made it outside Irene immediately stopped in her tracks to let it all in.  “You know, you really do take the outside for granted until you can’t go out anymore.”

"We all make mistakes." Scott shrugged. It really didn't matter to him what Irene had done. People did make mistakes afterall...

He ran after her with a smile spread across his lips. He felt like a little boy again, running from his mother in fear of being reprimanded. "I never take it for granted; I have no idea what you're talking about."

What do you mean? What happened? Yeah…she was pretty crushed about you though. But I get it, that was good of you to end it before you two are way into deep already. Listen…I gotta tell you something. -he takes one of the beers and opened it then took a large gulp-

I just thought I was over her man. I was finally feeling alright, and then she just had to waltz back into my life...

Andy nodded secretly pleased that he wasn’t with his ex and secretly heartbroken over the fact that he never gave them a chance and it was all for something that didn’t end up working out. “Oh. I’m sorry to hear that.” She said taking a sip of her water that the waitress had dropped off. When he asked if she was sure she smiled. “Yes Scottie, of course i’m sure. Things might not have worked out between you and I but I still like you as a friend.” She shrugged unsure of what to say. She couldn’t tell him the truth, that he’d always be apart of her life. That she loved him and that once upon a time he loved her.

"It's--" He finished his sentence with a shrug, although a shrug was definitely not how he felt about things being hopeless with Payton. Scott gave a final sigh as he said, "Alright, I'll take your word for it." He gave her a small smile. "Feel free to punch me in the gut if you want."

She shrugged as she walked along beside him.  “About two or three weeks I guess?” She quieted down as Scottie got them away from the guard and they continued moving again.  “I know they said I should probably be out soon but I think they’re more doing it to be safe than sorry.”

"Dannnng, well basically way too long, huh?" he didn't fight the urge to give her a wink. He was probably coming off way too cheesy, but he didn't care. It was making Irene laugh. "Oh shit," he whispered. He sighed in relief when he realized it was a false alarm. "Gogogogo." He began to dash towards the entrance.

Ah, yeah, that girl! So, it’s still her? Do you even still see her? I mean…Andy’s a great girl, you could have given her a chance you know.

Yeah... I ran into her the other day, and it was just not good.

Andrea? Yeah she is. I thought I owed her the truth. I didn't want to be half-assing a relationship with her.

Her face lit up as she laughed.  It felt like one of the first genuine laughs she had in a long time.  “Very well Jeeves, let’s go.” She grinned as she took his arm, walking towards the entrance.

He grinned, satisfied by the sincerity of her laughter. "Exactly how long has it been since you been outside then?" He ducked and brought Irene with him as a security guard came closer towards them. Once the coast was clear he began to move stealthily, tugging Irene gently to and fro.

Yeah... god. Don't you remember Payton? We were pretty serious. You've met her several times. I kind of fell off the face of the earth after she left. Aina coaxed me out of the apartment most days.
