Rest Thine Eyes
He understood, better than anyone what was happening, what Tara was putting into motion. But that didn't make it any easier for him that Colette ended up caught in the cross hairs. He'd brought her to the hospital as fast as he could get away and there. And he'd told them he didn't know what happened, that she'd just collapsed. They didn't look happy with that, but they'd taken her and gotten her stable.
News about the baby had come later, once she was settled into the room and looking at least a little more comfortable. They'd assumed him significant other, and father of the child, and he hadn't swayed them differently so he could better know how she was doing while she was out. But he stayed, so long as Jax didn't call him, he stayed at her side. Curled in the chair wasn't comfortable for him, but his hand stayed settled atop hers as he drifted some and tried to get some rest while he waited for her to wake up.
