Russia must start to fight not against false narrative of a Nazi state but against the terrorists in their own leadership. Navalney would fight but he was killed, pregozin signed a deal with this leadership and was killed shortly after.
There is no trust in putins words or with the ink on a paper.
How long before russia wakes up to safe itself not Ukraine. How long before the white house concedes to their worst foreign policy in their unions existence?
Many more will die so wake up!

Happy Birthday, Tanya ❤️
Today, the only news that matters is this: It’s your birthday, and I’m so lucky to be celebrating it with you.
I wish you a year ahead filled with the luck of the Irish, the passion of the Scots, and the pure joy of our three beautiful children. But more than anything, I wish you love—deep, unwavering, and ever-growing.
Whether we’re painting side by side, you’re tending the garden with grace, or I’m making a mess in the garage, every moment we share is a thread in the tapestry of our life together. This is our time—to reflect, to dream, and to build something lasting from all that we are and all that we hope to be.
You are my heart’s quiet strength, my favorite smile, and the soul of our home.
So here’s to you, my love—on your birthday and always.
With all of me, Happy Birthday. 💋💫
Putin should be arrested in Alaska not feted
Whatever guff he might be peddling to Trump, the Russian leader has no interest in a just peace deal.
Vladamir Putin is indicted by the International Criminal Court, accused of ordering the theft of thousands of children from Ukraine to be sold to childless couples in Russia. This charge is just the tip of a massive iceberg, and the war crimes of using chemical weapons and directly targeting civilians must surely be added. With others, I hunted down the evidence that Putin’s “puppet” in Syria, Bashar Al Assad was using chemical weapons against his own population, perhaps under the direction or certainly the knowledge of Putin, and the German government will arrest Assad on this charge, if he ever leaves the Kremlin’s clutches.
Hence, Putin should be arrested when he touches down in Alaska to meet the US president on Friday – not feted and lauded like some conquering hero, who seems to have a worryingly beguiling hold over the greatest dealmaker on the planet. The Russian leader has again stated that he has no interest in a peace deal which does not come with a huge swathe of Ukraine, some already illegally annexed and some still very much in Ukrainian hands.
This is pretty minimalistic from the Russian dictator, as the original aim of his Special Military Operation was the complete subjugation of Ukraine. A few weeks ago, an article from the Russian State news agency RIA Novosti was headlined “There is no other option: no one in Ukraine should be left alive”, under a chilling image of the Grim Reaper hovering over destroyed Ukrainian tanks, below an apocalyptic red sky. This leaves doubt as to the aims of the Russian tyrant, whatever guff he might be peddling to the US leader.
President Trump should know, or at least must be briefed on the Budapest Memorandum which the US, the UK and Russia signed in 1994 “guaranteeing” the safety and the integrity of the borders of Ukraine, in return for Ukraine giving up its nuclear weapons. What Trump and Putin appear to be suggesting as the basis for their discussions in Alaska is in direct contravention of this treaty. I agree with Ben Wallace, the excellent former defence minister, that if Zelensky is not in Alaska, then the UK’s Prime Minister should be there to ensure that the Budapest Memorandum is adhered to in word and deed – and the “gangster” and the “real estate king’, don’t hatch some dreadful deal that completely ignores the rights and will of the Ukrainian people.
So, President Trump, if you are the greatest dealmaker in the universe then arrest Putin in Alaska and the war in Ukraine will end on Friday. No doubt there are many in the Kremlin and certainly most of the Russian population who would support this, with their economy in freefall and the rank and file barely able to feed themselves. Those with money cannot travel to their previously beloved Mediterranean beach resorts, and even flying to Russian holiday spots is often disrupted by Ukrainian cyber and drone attacks. Russia might be making a few small gains on the frontlines in Ukraine, but Ukraine is making massive strategic gains deep in Russia, destroying 17 per cent of its oil industry, routinely grounding flights and destroying armaments factories. With a bit more help Mr President, they could probably send Mr Putin packing themselves!
The US president must understand that Ukraine is not losing this war and Russia is not winning it, so he must not appease Putin for an easy peace deal to enhance his rather obnoxious desire for the Nobel Peace Prize. The only acceptable peace deal is one that is “just” and acceptable to President Zelensky and the Ukrainian people – and at the moment neither appear to be represented in Alaska where their fate may well be determined.

⚡️'Words are very important,' — Trump orders (https://kyivindependent.com/words-are-very-important-trump-orders-nuclear-submarines-deployed-after-medvedevs-threats/) nuclear submarines deployed after Medvedev's threats. "Based on the highly provocative statements of the Former President of Russia, Dmitry Medvedev, who is now the Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, I have ordered two Nuclear Submarines to be positioned in the appropriate regions," U.S. President Donald Trump wrote on Truth Social.

2015 Ukraine before full scale invasion. Simply stunning skyline.
As death toll reaches 31,
Russia launched a barrage of drones and missiles on Kyiv on July 31, killing at least 31 people and injuring 159 in one of the deadliest attacks on the capital since the start of the full-scale invasion.
Tymur Tkachenko, head of the city's military administration, said that as of the morning of Aug. 1, the Russian attack had killed 31 people. At around 10:40 a.m. local time, rescuers recovered three more bodies.
Search operations continued through the night and are still underway. Recovery of victims' bodies is ongoing in the Sviatoshynskyi district," Tkachenko said.
Among the victims was senior police lieutenant Liliia Stepanchuk, a patrol officer who had served in Kyiv's police force since 2017. Her body was recovered from the rubble in Sviatoshynskyi district during rescue operations, the Interior Ministry said.
Three police officers and 12 children were among the injured. Thirty people, including five children, remain hospitalized as of 2:40 p.m. local time on July 31, Mayor Vitali Klitschko said. First responders have been working at the scenes of the attacks.
Klitschko added that the number of children injured was the highest recorded in the city since the beginning of the full-scale invasion. The deadliest attack on the capital occurred in December 2023 when 33 people were killed.
Russian forces launched over 300 drones and eight missiles against Ukraine overnight, targeting Kyiv and other regions, President Volodymyr Zelensky said.
In response to the attack, Aug. 1 has been declared a Day of Mourning in Kyiv. Flags will be flown at half-mast on all municipal buildings. All entertainment events are banned in the city for the day.
The attack came shortly after U.S. President Donald Trump threatened to impose new tariffs on Russia within 10 days unless the Kremlin agrees to halt its full-scale war against Ukraine.
"Kyiv is under massive drone attack. Make no mistake, this is (Russian President Vladimir) Putin’s response to President Trump’s deadline," Meaghan Mobbs, daughter of U.S. Special Envoy for Ukraine Keith Kellogg, wrote on X overnight on July 31. "He is testing American resolve and strength. We must not be found wanting."
At least 27 locations around the city were hit, mainly in the city’s Solomianskyi district, where an educational institution and a residential building had been targeted. According to Tkachenko, 101 buildings sustained damage in the district.
Damages were also reported in the Holosiivskyi and Shevchenkivskyi districts.
Following the end of the air raid siren at 3:20 a.m. local time, the threat quickly resumed at approximately 4:30 a.m., with the Air Force warning of renewed missile threats toward Kyiv. Shortly after, another round of explosions was heard in the skies over Ukraine's capital, local media reported.
The renewed missile barrage caused further damage, with a residential building in the Sviatoshynskyi district reported to be hit and partially destroyed, and victims trapped under rubble, according to Zelensky, who shared video footage of the scene. First responders have been dispatched to the site of the attack.

Windows were shattered in the children's wing of a hospital in Shevchenkivskyi district, Klitschko said, adding that no injuries were reported at the site.
Railway infrastructure was damaged in one of the districts, causing disruptions in traffic but no casualties, Ukrainian Railways said.
The mosque and other facilities of the Islamic Cultural Center were also damaged, while Russian missile debris hit the center's courtyard, said Oleh Khalydovych, a representative of the local Muslim community. No injuries were reported.
This latest attack unfolded against the backdrop of Trump's ultimatum to Russia. In an audio clip released by the White House on July 29, Trump said: "Ten days from today. And then we're gonna put on tariffs and stuff."
Trump acknowledged his uncertainty about its impact on Russia, adding, "I don't know if it’s gonna affect Russia, because he (Putin) wants to obviously probably keep the war going, but we're gonna put tariffs and various things."
The new measures are expected to include secondary sanctions targeting countries that continue to buy Russian oil, gas, and other commodities, including China and India.
Trump initially gave Russia 50 days to agree to a peace deal, warning on July 14 of "severe" tariffs of up to 100%. On July 28, he said he was no longer willing to wait that long. "There’s no reason in waiting," Trump said. "It’s 50 days, I wanted to be generous, but we just don’t see any progress being made."
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on July 26 that Trump is "losing his patience" with Russia over the war in Ukraine.
"Today, the world once again saw Russia’s response to our desire for peace, shared with America and Europe," Zelensky said in the wake of the latest attacks.
"But forcing Moscow to make peace, compelling them to come to a real negotiating table — all the tools needed for this are in the hands of our partners."
The U.S. president added that Ukraine has suffered an estimated 8,000 military deaths since January, not including missing personnel.
Incredible and the Russian population still think this is a small military special operation? How can they think this? Fear simply fear.

2015 even when the Donbass was under attack in 2014 it was sureal as in Kyiv it was calm and quiet. The only glimpse of the upcoming war was the fallen soldiers on the wall of remembrance. However, now in Ukraine it must feel a million miles away from the constant shaheed drones and ballistic missile attacks that happens daily.
We must support Ukraine in any way. International law must make it impossible for Russia to fund this war. The leaders are all scared to tell it as it is but they know the finances are in deep peril. If oil is taken, then the war will end. That said if Ukraine's allies say that's it well done won the battle, but we are not funding or donating weapons or intelligence then Russia will use that to cling to whatever they have on their hands now. Job done, a dirty immoral illegal and insidious plan on what he then calls his own brethren.
When will the world see that just as in 1939 a world war could have not happened. Appeasement made WW1 happen and cost the prime minister Chamberlain his job and forwever he will be remembered as the "peace in our time" appeaser who Adolf Hitler gave him his autograph for peace and then invades another nation. Its the same all over with the Budapest memorandum. We all signed but we never thought that one of the signatures might be the aggressor and as there was not pretext for that condition the paper was simply worthless. It was not worth the paper it was written in. We are doing this all over again. We all said Never Again but here we are.
Pray for Ukraine.
