What is your favorite way to spend free time?
"I generally spend it sitting at the table in my chamber or pacing the perimeter of the chamber." he huffed. "it's quite amusing."
Abel glared at the camera in his room.
Oh and also then you go have little fun with Cain in igloo, if you know what I mean~♥ X//D
"Oh, I know exactly what you mean."
hmmmmm do you ship Cain with Able?
[[ I guess but only in an AU setting where we take the whole brother shtick away (because to me the brother relationship is SACRED AND DEAR AND I WILL NOT SPOIL IT WITH ILLICIT RELATIONSHIPS). On this blog I will not romance any Abes I do make the whole ‘lol Cain only cares about his brother’ joke but I’m not going any further also Cain’s feelings aren’t entirely… healthy. I mean he’s been walking the earth for thousands of years feeling guilt and missing his beloved brother those feelings can mutate in a while. He’s a bit obsessed but it’s nothing illegal. Hopefully.
Short answer: Yes but in an AU setting.
I apologize for my inability to explain myself in two sentences or less.]]
((haha I agree with most of this but my justification for my ship is that "back in the day" (meaning back when Cain and Abel were living in the biblical setting) the had to marry their siblings anyway. lol because they were the only people alive aside from their parents. haha so whereas Cain might see something wrong with such a relationship since he's seen the progression of time, Abel hasn't had that opportunity, and therefore would likely be unknowing of modern cultural taboo.
augh my explanations are long too, but in short: in their generation, sibling relationships were the norm and slightly mandatory, and therefore would be less of a taboo to at least Abel))
>3< sorry for my shippy awkwardness.))
It was a bit hard to understand him, but she somehow managed, "U-Um.. Yeah, that’s probably me. M-my name is Stella." she said a bit nervously, even though his voice sounded pretty gentle, this man was a stranger, and that was enough for Stella to be wary. "What’s your name?"
"I am called Abel." he huffed and curiously stepped forward. "the people here tend to call me SCP-076... what are you called?"
The Sumerian took a couple more steps forward, staring at this new girl.
scp-076-2 has entered the foundation
"U-Ummm… I-is someone there?" she asked nervously, sensing someone near her, followed by the sound of footsteps.
Abel stepped a little closer, eyeing the young girl curiously. "... I don't mean to intrude... but I've heard of a young girl who stays in this chamber." His heavily accented voice came curiously yet gently, with a slight hint of apprehension in his tone. "I assume that is you...?"
"I suppose that’s necessary, as your desire to help these people is probably beyond what is healthy." Abel stared flatly at his brother, his gaze catching the slight movements of discomfort that Cain made. "you’re nervous…"
Cain froze. “Beyond healthy? What do you mean with that— I am not nervous! Not nervous at all!” He let out a forced laugh. Of course he was nervous. Nervous and embarrassed.
"I mean, you're too concerned with how these people view you... too eager to help them." Abel huffed softly and reclined in his chair. His eyes surveyed Cain. "You never were a good liar, brother. I can see how nervous you are."
"Oh, time has been many things to me… kind too." He decided not to complain now, it’d be safer that way. Cain’s giddiness was nothing but well hidden panic, his hands were trembling, he didn’t know why, probably because of the ever present paranoia that his brother might snap and lash out at him.
Cain put the spare chair right in front of Abel and sat down. “Oh oh, this mood helps me get things done! Nothing more!” He tried making eye contact but his worried gaze traveled off all the time. He still couldn’t do it, he was still a little it afraid.
"I suppose that's necessary, as your desire to help these people is probably beyond what is healthy." Abel stared flatly at his brother, his gaze catching the slight movements of discomfort that Cain made. "you're nervous..."
"Ah! I see! Give me just a moment!" Cain turned around twice before sprinting off to get a chair. He returned with two and neatly placed them both near Abel. "They’re not really soft armchairs but anything for a tired traveler, right?" He smiled sheepishly.
Abel huffed and sat down, rubbing his face a little tiredly. "Thank you, brother."
He rested his elbows on his thighs and sighed softly. "Time has been kind to you. And you seem to be in a good mood." the taller man looked up from his hands. "any particular reason?"
"Hello brother." Abel kept his eyes low and his voice soft. ((guess who was able to get back on their blog :D))
Cain turned to the source of the familiar voice and let out a silent gasp. “Brother!” He couldn’t keep his voice low but he didn’t dare running at his brother. “I’m so happy to see you.”
((YAAAAAAAAAA I’m very happy! *puts Abel in box* you will never escape again.))
Cain approached him shyly. “Oh, do not be cross with me but I have read the records, you must be tired after such a long slumber, say, is there a way I can entertain you? Perhaps you came to tell me something? I’m all ears, brother.” He didn’t bother holding back anymore, he was more than happy to see his little brother and Cain was ready to make the best of impressions. Maybe after a hundred times he won’t fail his brother again.
Abel gave a look that was a cross between a pout and a grump expression.
"I would appreciate a place to sit..." He lowered his eyes for a moment before returning his attention to Cain. "I have been walking all day..."
It was unlike him to ask such things of his brother, but his tired feet and need for engaging conversation was stronger than his grudge at this point.
"Bonjour." the Frenchman offered a kind smile and a gentle wave of his hand to the other man. " My name is LaFleur. Et c'est un plaisir de vous rencontrer." He gave a single bow of his head, only to push his hair from his face when he looked back up. (Decided it was time to give introductions~~)
Abel eyed this new man skeptically. He seemed to be one of those Doctors he'd grown so familiar with, but he wasn't anyone who he'd seen before.
"Hello...?"
He could not understand what tongue this doctor spoke in. The mere fact that there were more languages now than just Sumerian and English both upset and terrified him.
"why are you here?"
Abel's eyes narrowed slightly as he watched the man bow his head.
I f-figured I’d draw Clef. He comes around a lot… I’m posting the colored version and the original sketch.
Hello there Abel, how are you? You're looking rather well.. (Yay!!! <3)
"Hello." Abel glanced at the grey-faced being and bowed his head in greeting. "I am doing quite well, now that I am out of that pit."
"Hello again, Doctor." Abel's eyes briefly surveyed the man.
"076—" Bran’s eyes drop to the detonation collar around Abel’s neck briefly. It’s small comfort, considering if it were to be used, the immortal swordsman would only be briefly subdued, and he — well, he would simply stop existing. 076-2 seems relatively calm, for now, so he nods politely, if a bit cautiously.
"It’s been a while since I’ve seen ye out and about. Doing well, I trust?"
A small nod was the sole response granted by the Sumerian man. After taking a deep, contemplative breath, Abel spoke gently.
"I am willing to teach you if you display a decent amount of patience." He turned his head away a little. "This is a trait that has been lacking in many of the doctors who insist on speaking with me."
“Ah… I can, ah, manage.” Bran was known for neither tact nor evenness of temper, but he could reel it in when he had to. Or when there was something he particularly wanted - like, say, a qualifiable teacher of an otherwise extinct language. Abel’s reaction had him tilting his head just slightly, however. “….why… are the other doctors giving ye grief?”
Abel's eyes lowered a little as the slightest hint of a scowl crossed his face. He thought back to the different sessions he'd spent with various doctors.
Identify this. Weaponize that. He drew in a quivering breath and closed his eyes for a moment.
"... They get frustrated quickly. They expect so much and show no tolerance when their expectations are not met."
Abel offered the slightest of smiles and raised his eyes just enough to look at his brother. "it's... nice to see you, too, Cain...." He immediately looked away and crossed his arms.
((Abel-in-a-box xD he'd be like an aggressive little kitten ahaha))

"It’s been a while since I’ve seen ye out and about. Doing well, I trust?"
The Scot offered a wry smile - there was a reason for rhetoric in certain questions. If Abel was being allowed free roam again, however, that meant his rages had been brought under control (at least for the time being).
"Would ye still be willing t’ help me with my Sumerian? There aren’t exactly a wealth of native speakers t’ practice with anymore."
A small nod was the sole response granted by the Sumerian man. After taking a deep, contemplative breath, Abel spoke gently.
