Just your average summer day.
Knuckles: Mena, may I have a popsicle?
Callie: Sure, knock yourself out.
Knuckles: Is that a prerequisite?
Knuckles: That I render myself unconscious.
Callie: What are you--oh, I see. It's just a figure of speech, kikone. It just means 'yes, go ahead'.
Tails: Actually, that's an interesting query. Could Knuckles be strong enough to knock himself out, or is he tough enough to withstand such a hit?
Sonic: I think this is something we should test.
Tails: C'mon, Callie, where's your scientific curiosity.
Knuckles: That is an interesting conundrum.
Tails: We'll need a baseline. Knuckles will hit Sonic hard enough to knock him out--
Tails: --then Knuckles can use that same amount of strength on himself, to see how it compares.
Tails: For science, Sonic. Remember?
Sonic: Science doesn't need to mess up this face.
Knuckles: Science will not. My fist will.
Callie: No one's messing anyone's face, and no one's punching themselves unconscious.
Knuckles: Your concern is misplaced. I am confident I can either knock myself out, or withstand it without issue.
Callie: I think you're missing the part where you could hurt yourself.
Knuckles: Or I could not.
Callie: You're kinda not in my favor right now, fox.
Knuckles: I will deliver a fierce blow to myself, and only then can I prove that I am a mighty echidna warrior! And after, I shall feast on a delicious grape popsicle--
Callie: Oh, that reminds me, they were out of the grape. I had to get banana instead.
Knuckles: I no longer wish to engage in this experiment.
Knuckles: I can still punch the hedgehog if you like. For science.
Callie: Seriously guys, you all need something better to do.
