Day 5
Beautiful Streets in Provence citys and canyons in multiple colors and style.
One more of my marmot collection. Yesterday Iāve beaten the record. I counted a dozen on one pass. This time I got them on my Go Pro. When I am back home. I will have a lot to do checking all my videos and getting the best scenes for the blog.
On the day 2 video of Susten you will see the marmot on the streetš
Day 4 Vallouise to Castellane
What was exciting that day that the landscape can Change very fast behind next curve you can see completely different kind of rocks. The camping Iāve chosen was RCN in Castellane.
This is Day 3 from Chamonix to Vallouise. Not all passes are on the video, the biggest part is from the Col du Galibier as this was the best of all. Col de IāIseran was not open that day so I had to get arround.Ā
Day 3 Lac de RoseleandĀ Col du Mont Cenis
My 3rd day ended at in Vallouise south of Briancon where I forgot to make some Pictures of the Camping place if choosen. I arrived quite late and couldnĀ“t check in anymore. Hungry and tired I found a pizza truck with a nice host. He gave me advice for my tour through France and tips what to see. Thank you Vincent! Although I could not pass Col d IāIseran as it was still closed I left it in the TomTom tour for you.Ā
Some impressions of the Sustenpass

A little visitor in front of my tent. I wonder to whom it belonged before it escaped and went wild. Nevertheless it looked quite healthy alone in the camping forest.
While talking about glaciers...that is what you can see when you leave Chamonix.
You could see Mont Blanc from there.
DAY 2
This was where I stayed on Wednesday a nice little Camping in Chamonix. A Beautiful place to stay with direct view to Mont Blanc. There is no restaurant available but every afternoon between 18:00 and 20:00 a Food truck serves CrĆŖpes. The tour plan you will find in the headder link Guiding you to TomTom Route Planner
Nothing Nice To Show
Today my trip ended in Chamonix. On that way there was nothing really worth to picture. The temprature today was about 30C and most of the streets had speed limit of 40 to 60km/h so no chance to cool down. The camping place I found is quite nice with direct view to Mont Blanc.
An article about the future of the Swiss Glaciers
Just to show how much snow there still is. This is at Grimselpass a snap shot from my GoPro.. The Grimselpass was opened quite late this year. Here is a link where you get infomration when which Swiss pass will openĀ https://www.alpen-paesse.ch/en/ .
Home sweet home. This is where my tour endend that day at camping Augenstern somewhere on the way to Brig. Just before I left this morning Iāve been shown a video by one of the guest how high the snow was last winter. You couldnāt š the caravans anymore. Weather extremes wherever go. All camping locations I selected via ADAC Campingführer. The app is not for free and only in German langauge available.
In the topmost lake of Grimsel water is still frozen. Looks like I ended up at the arctic see but itās just a few kilometers from my hometown where we had around 30C today.
Grimselpass has 3 artificial lakes / reservoirs. This is a panorama picture to see it you need to klick on it a d move it from left to right.
