Louvre, Parigi
The Louvre, today, one of the busiest Museum requires over 2000 employees. This world renown art collection wasn’t always open to the pubic. In fact, it’s doors were closed for 600 years. A symbol of wealth and power. Originally it was made a fortress for Philip II. Later, it was converted to a royal residence and then abandoned due to the opening of Versailles. Construction continued afterwards and later a major art transfer via trucks to private Chateaus was made to save art from the Nazis. Napoleon even named the building after himself at one point. Today the Mona Lisa by Leonardo Da Vinci sits inside its walls.
