I try to drink a lot of water and use masks. It’s really helpful for my skin to be hydrated. / 저는 물을 많이 마시려고 노력하고 마스크를 써요. 제 피부에 수분 공급하는데 정말 도움이 되요.

I was an extremely loud and annoying know-it-all. Nothing scared me because I thought I was the best at everything. ‘I am the best’ attitude. / 저는 굉장히 시끄럽고 짜증나는 아는 체하는 아이였어요. 제가 모든 일에 최고인줄 알아서 무서운게 없었어요. ‘내가 제일 잘나가’ 태도.
What is the best advice that you have ever received? / 당신이 받았던 최고의 조언은 무엇이었나요?
Sometimes I think, if not this then nothing, but my dad told me that life will go on and failing won’t be as terrible as I think it would be; another door will open. / 가끔씩 전 ‘이게 아니면 아무것도 안돼’라는 생각을 가져요. 하지만 제 아버지께서 인생을 계속 흘러가고 실패하는건 생각만큼 나쁘지 않고 다른 문이 열릴거라고 말씀해주셨어요.
You travelled a lot because of your job, what is the most favorite city that you have visited? / 일때문에 많이 여행가는데, 간 시들중에 어디가 제일 좋았나요?
I would have to say Milan was my favorite so far. / 지금까지는 밀라노가 제일 좋았어요.

Are there any models in the industry that you look up to? / 존경하는 모델분들이 있으시나요?
I admire Soo Joo Park for her perseverance. I once saw on her blog that she hurt her ankle during a shoot, but she pulled through and continued on with her schedule. / 저는 박수주님의 인내가 존경스러워요. 한번 그녀의 블로그에 촬영 도중에 발목을 다쳤는데 참고 스케줄을 계속 소화해내셨다는 글을 본 적이 있거든요.
How did you start modeling? Was modeling something that you always wanted to do? / 어떻게 모델 일을 시작했나요? 모델 일은 원래 하고 싶은 일이었나요?
Since I was a kid, I naturally loved being on stage or in front of the camera. So after I completed my studies, I decided to give modeling a try and signed with my current mother agency in MN. I worked an office job at an advertising firm while I modeled, but last year I quit my job to take on modeling full-time and have traveled to NY, LA, Milan, Hong Kong. / 저는 어렸을때부터 무대위나 카메라 앞에 있는걸 좋아했어요. 공부를 마친 후 모델 일을 한번 해보기로 결심하고 현재 미네소타에 있는 에이전시와 계약을 했어요. 모델 일을 하면서 광고회사에서 직장생활을 했었는데 작년에 모델 일을 전임으로 일하기 위해서 직장을 그만뒀어요. 이후로 뉴욕, 로스엔젤레스, 밀라노, 그리고 홍콩에 가봤어요.
What would you do if you were not a model? / 모델이 되지 않았다면 무엇을 했을까요?
Modeling is what I enjoy the most at the moment. But if not modeling I may be working at a bakery since I love baking. I also have a heart for children so maybe working with children. / 지금 제가 제일 좋아하는 일은 모델 일이에요. 하지만 저는 베이킹을 정말 좋아해서 모델이 되지 않았다면 빵집에서 일하고 있었을 수도 있겠네요. 아이들도 정말 좋아해서 어쩌면 아이들과 일하고 있었을 수도 있죠.
What has been your favorite job so far?/ 지금까지 해온 촬영중에 어느게 제일 좋았나요?
I love being around creative people who just really enjoy what they do. One of the best would be working with artist Jesse Draxler and the team for the MCQ campaign. It was as though everyone was expressing their thoughts through art and not with words. I was deeply reminded that fashion is a form of art and that’s why I love it.. / 저는 자신이 하고 있는 일을 정말로 즐기는 창의적인 사람들과 어울리는 것을 정말 좋아해요. 제일 좋았던 촬영 중 하나는 아티스트 Jesse Draxler과 그의 팀과 함께 MCQ 캠페인을 위해서 일했던 적이에요. 모두 자신의 생각을 말이 아니라 예술을 통해서 표현하고 있는듯 했어요. 그때 패션은 한 종류의 예술이라는 것을 다시 한번 깨달았어요. 그래서 정말 좋았어요.
What is your dream modeling job? / 당신의 꿈의 모델 일은 무었인가요?
I would love to work with Steven Meisel. He is one of the top photographers of all time, and I would love to meet him in person. / 스티븐 마이젤과 일해보고 싶어요. 그는 최고의 사진작가 중 한명이니까 한번 실물로 만나보고 싶어요.
What’s going through your mind when you’re modeling in front of the camera? / 카메라 앞에서 모델 일을 할 때 무슨 생각을 하시나요?
Depends on what the director or photographer would like to draw. It’s kind of like acting when I go into character. I focus on the mood and concept of the shoot and start from there. / 감독님이나 사진작가남이 무엇을 그리고 싶으신지에 따라서 달라요. 감정이입을 할때 약간 연기랑 비슷해요. 촬영의 분위기와 콘셉트에 집중하고 거기서부터 시작해요.
What are the pros and cons of being a model? / 모델이 됨으로서 장점과 단점을 뭔가요?
The biggest thing for me is that I can do what I really love doing. One difficulty is that my schedule is unpredictable so it’s tough to plan things ahead. / 저에게 제일 중요한것은 제가 정말 사랑하는 것을 할 수 있다는 거에요. 한가지 어려운 점은 스케줄을 예측할 수 없어서 미리 계획을 짜기 힘들어요.
What do you want to achieve in the future? / 미래에는 무엇을 이루고 싶나요?
I want to be a positive inspiration to the people around me. / 저는 제 주변사람들에게 긍정적인 영감이 되고 싶어요.
What advice would you pass along to those who have just started out in the modeling business?/ 신인 모델들에게 조언 하나만 해주세요.
There are so many rejections you will face, but if this is what you really love to do, just keep at it and your hard work will not go unnoticed. / 정말 많은 거절들을 받겠지만, 이 일을 정말 사랑한다면, 계속 열심히 하면 당신의 노력이 무시당하지 않을거에요.

How do you see yourself in 10 years from now? / 10년 후, 무엇을 하고 있을 것 같나요?
Professionally, I honestly have no idea, I can barely think a month ahead right now. But I hope in my personal life I will be happily married. / 일적으로는 정말 모르겠어요. 한달 후도 잘 모르겠어요. 하지만 사적으로는 행복한 결혼생활을 하고 있었으면 좋겠어요.
Do you have any personal rules that you’ll never break?/ 절대로 깨지 않을 본인만의 룰은 있나요?
Rules are meant to break right? I try my best to follow by God’s rules, but don’t have any rules of my own. / 규칙은 깨라고 있는거잖아요? 저는 하느님의 규율을 따르려고 노력하고 있지만 저만의 규칙은 없어요.
One thing that people will be surprised to find out about you / 당신에 대해 놀라운 사실 한가지는 무엇인가요?
I’ve always wanted to become a kpop singer so I sent in audition tapes to a Korean agency when I was in high school. But my parents didn’t let me leave school to go to Korea for an in-person audition. Eventually that phase ended and I just studied really hard in school. / 저는 K팝 가수가 되고 싶어서 고등학교때 한국 소속사에 오디션 영상을 보낸적이 있어요. 하지만 부모님이 한국으로 오디션을 보러 가지 못하게 하셨어요. 결국 그 시기가 지나고 전 그냥 공부를 열심히 했어요.
