WEEK 15

In Week 15, we had our second quiz, which served as another opportunity to test our knowledge on the topics covered so far. It felt like a culmination of the lessons we’ve learned, as this week was practically the final one for properly meeting up with Sir Carl.

This week marked the end of a structured and interactive learning period with him, making it a bit bittersweet. It was a productive final meeting where we clarified any remaining questions and reflected on the key takeaways from the course. It was a memorable conclusion to our time with Sir Carl.

WEEK 14

In Week 14, we had a quiz that tested our understanding of the previous topics, including APIs. I felt prepared and confident during the quiz. Afterward, Sir Carl introduced us to a new topic: Data Mining. He explained its concepts, applications, and significance in analyzing large datasets.

To reinforce our understanding, he also assigned us an activity related to data mining. This activity allowed us to apply the concepts we had just learned, making the session both informative and practical. It was an engaging week, and I gained valuable insights into the field of data mining.

WEEK 13

In Week 13, we had an asynchronous class since we couldn’t meet with Sir Carl. Despite not having a live session, he provided us with a topic about APIs to study on our own. I took this opportunity to dive deeper into understanding what APIs are, how they work, and their importance in modern applications. It was a valuable learning experience, and I appreciated having the time to explore the topic at my own pace.

WEEK 12

In Week 12, Sir Carl gave us a pre-test to assess our understanding of the topic he had assigned while he was away. I’m happy to report that I did great on the pre-test, which was a reflection of the effort I put into studying the material during his absence. It felt rewarding to see that the time and energy spent on self-study paid off, and it gave me more confidence moving forward with the rest of the course.

WEEK 11

This week, I took the initiative to study the topic assigned by Sir Carl in advance since he was absent. By doing so, I was able to prepare myself for future discussions and ensure I stayed on track with the lessons.

Additionally, our team made significant progress on our website. We finalized the design and layout of the landing page, focusing on the overall aesthetics and user experience. We ensured that the website looks professional and engaging when opened, reflecting our goals for the project.

Overall, it was a productive week, as we made strides both in independent learning and in advancing our project.

WEEK 16-Christmas

This is the point at which we become really focused on developing our system in SDE and our other projects in subjects like LCD, CEDD, and PICPE, leading to restless nights. Additionally, this marks the start of the last terms. Even though the journey felt exhausting at times, having Sir Carl by our side made all the difference. His unwavering support and dedication to mentoring us through every challenge was nothing short of inspiring. As we pushed through the weeks leading up to the finals, knowing that he was always there guiding us, encouraging us, and believing in us gave us the strength to keep going. Sir Carl wasn’t just a teacher; he was our rock, our motivator, and our constant source of hope. His passion for teaching and his genuine care for our growth made us realize that success isn’t just about the results it’s about the journey and the people who walk it with you. We’ll always carry his lessons, not just about software and design engineering but about perseverance and the power of unwavering support. And for that, we’re forever grateful. Sir Carl we may not be the best student you ever have but I assure you that you are the best teacher we will ever have. You have shown us patience when we struggled, kindness when we faltered, and unwavering belief in our potential when we doubted ourselves. You give me the impression that I have another parent I can rely on, someone who cares about my growth and well-being as much as my successes and failures. You celebrate our victories as if they were your own, and you help us learn from our mistakes without making us feel small. Sir Carl, you are the greatest at being both our friend and our teacher. You have created a space where we feel safe to dream, to fail, and to grow. You see us not just for who we are now, but for who we can become and that belief is a gift we will carry with us for the rest of our lives. Thank you for every lesson, every word of encouragement, and every moment you’ve spent guiding us. You may never fully know the impact you’ve had on our lives, but I hope you know that to us, you are nothing short of extraordinary. You are, and always will be, our Sir Carl. WEEK 10 : PIT Checking

Here is where we gave our SDE PIT presentation. Even if the system and the papers still need to be revised, we are nonetheless pleased that we completed 90% of the project.

WEEK 9 : MIDTERM EXAM

We are so exhausted in this week because we just had our midterm examinations. Just look the the picture below you can me and my tired classmate that is sleeping because of exhaustion.

WEEK 8

In the 8 week we answered our quiz 2 part 2 in face to face class. Although the quiz was hard but I think I did me best in answering the questions on the quiz.

WEEK 7

In this week we had an online quiz on USTEP and I think I did my best on answering the quiz and got a very pleasant score.

WEEK 6

The class began with a discussion on software testing, where we explored various methods to ensure that our software applications deliver an exceptional user experience. Following the lecture, we participated in a group activity focused on identifying inconsistencies in a system's user interface. Acting as system detectives, we collaborated to pinpoint issues and brainstorm solutions to address those problems.

In another activity, we created a Google Form to conduct a survey using the System Usability Scale (SUS). After collecting responses from three participants, we calculated the SUS scores and derived an average score. This allowed us to assess whether the system provided a quality user experience based on the survey results.

WEEK 5 Quiz

Following a lengthy and challenging quiz on our subject, Sir Carl, Fidel, Rafael, Morrix, and I head to a night market in Cogon for dinner. Furthermore, I didn't really anticipate that Sir Carl would cover all of our meal costs while we were eating. The way Sir Carl has treated us makes us very pleased, and we are really grateful.

WEEK 4

My classmate Adriane Loquinte, who missed last week's session due to illness, has finally shown up. When he was missing, I felt alone and lonely, but now that I see him in class, I feel terrific and know that, despite his sickness, he is now in good shape.

WEEK 3

This place makes me feel so tired HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. With no class on Wednesday, we are working on our project's code at the CEA building's fourth floor. Nothing noteworthy happened; it was just another typical day.

Week 2, Late Upload

This week, we focused on choosing the technology stack for our project. After evaluating different options. We discussed the different components of the stack and how they would work together. We also addressed any challenges or questions that arose.  We're confident that this stack will be a good fit for our project and will allow us to build a successful application.

BEGINNING OF CLASS

It was a pleasant and entertaining first meeting in section CPE3B of class CPE312. I've met classmates I didn't know before, and I'm excited to get to know them and see what this class will bring.
