Nathan’s still new at this but he knows the basic requests that get exchanged during the trails: help me, help them, get the generator, run, It’s a never-ending cycle of desperation where there always isn’t enough time. He lurches over to help Meg as soon as he sees her, clumsy fingers wrapping bandages around her wound. It’s not perfect but nothing here seems meant to last for hours. He gives a light squeeze to her shoulder to signify he’s done with the bandages and shuffles back.
Where? he mouths, hands gesturing to the space around them, where is it? He needs to know where not to head, this place has too many hiding spots, too many dark crevices where the killer could be hiding. He needs to know where. Generator okay? he adds on. There’s one not far from here and if they work on it together, it’d make the chance to escape much quicker.
Meg grits her teeth as the bandages wrap around her arm, sealing off the wound - she knows he doesn’t mean it to be but like everything else in this realm, his touch is rough. She lets out a sigh of relief as the entity heals the wound - a dose of hope fills her despite her best efforts to remain subdued and she squats to him in thanks before looking around the killer. Adiris had only just missed her with the projectile vomit that she could now see spraying around across the map, but she was sure that wouldn’t last long.
She points, gesturing to the bright green liquid as it splashes against the lockers in the distance and groaning to herself. This wasn’t going to be pretty, was it? At his next question, she nods - remembering the one that she had passed while running from the killer. They had three more to finish, and time was quickly closing in. Gesturing in the direction of the generator and gesturing for him to follow, she takes off running easily transitioning into a sprint before finding herself exhausted only a few seconds later.
A few feet from the generator, lays a chest. She’s gotten pretty good at finding things in them and making the most of even the scraps that coat the bottom so she lifts the lid and shuffles through the rubbish managing to piece together a toolkit. Perfect, maybe all is not lost after all. Joining him on the generator, she quickly begins to use the tools and parts that she had found - wincing as sparks licked at her fingers when she made a misstep.
Looking over her shoulder, she sees it - the tell tale red vomit that means there will be hell to pay if you get caught. Adiris is getting closer and she shoves him off the generator with a harshly whispered, “Run, I’ll distract her!”
