“Fred! Fredward!” A laugh escaped her, giddy and high from a night of dancing. The flowers in her hair had long been lost, likely trampled under heels and sandals and red bottom shoes. A night like tonight had been much needed, the mood around campus was too sullen, and October never did fair well in that kind of environment. She wrapped her arms around her friend, giving them a wide grin and leaning in to press a drunken kiss on their cheek. “You look beautiful tonight, by the way. I didn’t get a chance to tell you inside. You’re beautiful every day, though. We should go back to my place and I can paint you.”
