The Mummy Returns (2001)

The nation sat in the sand, surrounded by small and large pottery and several books. Despite the fact that he was used to the heat, he found himself a bit aggravated with the sun rays beaming down on him. Cradling one of the pots in his lap, he inspected the lining, running his fingers across the warm ceramic. Oh, how he adored pots -- every fine line accompanied by the smooth surface. Noticing a pair of feet, he glanced up, examining the other. "...You have come to discuss pottery with me, correct?"
"...I wonder if I should buy some pots..."
❀ [Ah, the blistering sun of Eqypt and the ever present wind, luckily he hadn’t worn his kimono in this instance of visiting; or he had a feeling he would have been blown to the side or sweating up a storm. The nod was all the greeting he needed, and he returned it with a slight bow.] "Eqypt-san." "You look well."
Though he didn't look it, Egypt was a bit excited to see the other. He rather enjoyed the company of people as mellow as him -- with Turkey and Greece always arguing, it wasn't often that he got quiet partnership. Holding down his headgear as another gust of wind pushed him, he cleared his throat stiffly. "Thank you. You look well also."

The wind had picked up quite a bit, blowing sand up into the air, whipping his loose clothing in the wind. Honestly, he hadn't been expecting any visitors -- especially in this hot weather. But, when he saw a figure approaching, the tan nation tilted his head, examining the other. He spoke no words, but instead gave a small nod as a greeting -- a common notion for Egypt.

Magnificent! This pot was absolutely magnificent! He ran his thin fingers over the glossed paint. He could speak of this pot for hours! Perhaps even days -- depending on the conversation partner. Holding the pot tightly in his arms, he rested his cheek on the cool dried clay. Hearing a shuffle behind him, he glanced behind him. The tanned nation turned to fully face the other, adjusting the pot so he wasn't caressing it so lovingly. He gave him a small nod of acknowledgement.

"…I’m going to have to make more pasta!"
"…You’re just going to offer some to anyone that comes by, aren’t you?"
"...? That's... okay. I do not require subsistence in pasta-form. Thank you, regardless. I appreciate the notion. Though if you have any decorative bowls... that appear like pots... I may be interested in those."
"Oh! Uh, hello!"
Jae-Won dipped his head a bit, waving in greeting as soon as he spotted the other man. Egypt as a nation had helped him in several building projects, and provided his nation with its cellular service, so he felt a bit better being around him than he did someone else - particularly any Americans.
"Hey! Um, how are you today?"
Egypt wondered slightly how he had helped his nation with so much, yet they never really sat down and spoke. Perhaps it was because the nation himself rarely spoke, so he wouldn't try to initiate something with anybody. "Hello. I am well." He crossed his arms, the heavy fabric of his loose clothes drooping on his arms. "And yourself?"

It was late when Arthur left work. Well, not terribly late as the sun was still in the process of setting, but late enough that if he didn’t get moving he would surely be late for his patrol as the Emerald Archer!
He glanced down at his watch and nearly ran into someone.
"Pardon me," he said in a rush.
The tanned nation was wandering through the streets of the unfamiliar place, having been told he should get better acquainted with the rest of the world. He had received several glances for his strange apparel, but he paid no mind to them, until he was nearly run into.
"...Pardoned." He muttered, adjusting the cloth on his head. Remember, conversation is good. "...Are you in a rush?"
Germany decided to take a small vacation from work out into Egypt, a place he hadn’t been since the incident with Italy. It’s not a very local place, or at least, he didn’t think it was. It’s history was interesting and sharp, full of Egyptology studies and myths and stories about Pharaohs. Personally, Germany enjoyed history to an extent where he nearly studies it everyday. When he has the free time of course.
But since new soldiers were hired, he had decided to take a trip over into Africa, visiting this old place that he hadn’t seen in a long while. Since he knew it was going to be hotter than usual, he brought his white tank-tops and stuffed his uniform in his backpack. He thought that he also might as well bring an extra pair of boots and shoes, a lot of water, a couple of jars for take home souvenirs, a gun and a knife. He couldn’t be too entirely sure of what was out on these sandy areas, snakes and scorpions were a much bigger threat than anything. So due to common sense, the country brought weaponry with him for self-defense and the need to stay safe!
However, with him he also brought his notebook to take down notes and scribble fast drawings of the area around him to get a mental picture inside of his mind after everything was over. Normally, after Germany sees something once, his mind takes a picture and smacks it up onto his visions wall for later reference; he had photographic memory.
As he jotted down some notes, he glanced up to notice Egypt nodding at him. Closing the book, the man placed the pen through the wires and stuffed it inside his pant pocket.
Ah, Egypt.
Guten tag… It’s been quite a vhile, hasn’t it?
The nation shifted his jaw a bit, quietly pondering on what he should say if he were to speak. It had been quite a while since he had seen Germany, but he held no ill feelings that sparked up. In fact, it was rather nice to see someone other than Greece and Turkey in his presence.
As he took notice of the nation's scribbling, he felt a bit of excitement in his chest -- if there was one thing he enjoyed speaking about, it was history. Even so, not many people came to him for history lessons, for most of it was one word replies and gestures. He sort of expected everyone to read his mind in some kind of way.
Setting the pot down in the sand, he took a step forward. "Guten... tag..." He thought it would be polite to greet the other in his own language, though the words were unfamiliar on his tongue. "Yes. Quiet a while."

Egypt gazed intently at the nation which he had not been well acquainted with. Regardless, he was always willing to make new friends -- or something like that. Adjusting the cloth which he wore on his head, he parted his dark lips and leaned his head back ever so slightly as a notion of acknowledgement.

Egypt was inspecting some old pottery, which had been retrieved from an old dig site. He almost didn't glance up from the work of art when he heard footsteps shifting in the sand, but he realized that that would be rather rude. Glancing up to see who had approached him, he simply stared with golden eyes, a small nod of his head as a greeting.
"Why, hello there. I’ve never seen you around much." England spoke in a friendly manner. He took notes in his head to be gentle around the stoic nation.
At the other nation's words, he considered giving another gentle nod, but realized that it may be misleading in some ways. It was best to speak in some situations, he noted. "Indeed. I tend not to get out much."
"Ohh Egypt~ I wanted to say i’ma sorry for trying to invade you that one time. You beat me up and I got really really scared~"
A small sigh escaped the nation's barely parted lips at the gesture -- not one of any particular emotion, just a sigh. "...Consider it forgiven."

The tan country tilted his head slightly, eyeing the Englishman with golden hues silently. A small nod of his head was the greeting, common for the silent nation. Perhaps there was a small gesture in the half-raised hand, but he'd wait for the other to speak. Egypt never really initiated anything.
