Percy & Annabeth Percy Jackson and the Olympians, S02E02
percabeth + the sword and the hand that wields it
“just you. i guess they couldn’t show me anything i wanted more than saving you.”
Her putting it on him while she’s convinced he’s going to die wearing it, him not taking his eyes off her for a second, the fact he keeps her necklace on for like a full day and is wearing it when he meets his dad…
I missed my trio 🥺❤️
season 3 percabeth looks so good wow
One girl fighting against the “blonde girls are stupid” stereotypes the other one fights against the “black girls shouldn’t be in the film industry” type
Annabeth chase in every universe you show your haters how wrong they are 🫶
seeing a bunch of people in the former bird app going "percabeth is a slow burn" babes NO, no they ARE NOT
they are children, neurodivergent children at that, traumatized by war and shitty upbringings gradually growing up
of fucking course percy and annabeth wouldn't be together right away at 14!!!!! they were literally discovering romantic love for the first time in their lives STOP with this nonsense of percabeth slow burn!!!!
the moment both were free of the prophecy they got together this isn't a slow burn this is them very maturely making the conscientious choice of waiting for the best of times to be together because both were already in love and KNEW IT!!!!!!

I hate when people do the whole alternate Percy fell into Tartarus alone or with someone else bit because I think people forget that Tartarus really starts as Annabeth's story, not Percys. Annabeth is the one who was always going to fall, Percy only fell BECAUSE he wouldn't let her fall alone. There is no reasonable scenario where Percy would have fallen in without her. But of course as always people love to erase women from stories.
Because as much as some people pretend to hate Annabeth they love inserting their fav's into her storylines.

Percy: single combat😡
Connor: what for😱😱😱
Percy: coz you stare at Annabeth.
Connor :bro its not fair. Every one at camp stare at Annie because she is gorgeous.
Percy: Don't call her Annie.
Connor :🥺😰
Percy: "I know she is dazzling, and everyone will look at her. But you are different— You've been staring for too long."
Connor:😱😱😱
From Uncle Rick's depiction of Ares, it seems he doesn't like this warlike god. (He also didnt like Athena, i believe.)
Some ppl consider him a protector of women's dignity. In myth when Ares' daughter was violated, he directly killed the perpetrator.. Ares' actions in protecting the weak are certainly commendable, but on the other hand, his brutality and fondness for war have caused countless women to lose their husbands, sons, and families.
Because Ares is not calm; he is brutal and irrational. His way of executing justice is primitive and lacks reason and order. His method of protection is: "Who dares to harm you, I will destroy them." Interestingly, Percy also has the sense of justice in this regard. However, he extremely dislikes Ares. This is because in "The Lightning Thief," Ares uses Percy as a pawn, colluding with Kronos, almost triggering a world war and so on. But I think the main reason is Percy's natural aversion to war, even though he himself is a warrior.
Ares becomes the least favored god by Percy in the book. In fact he's not that bad (Apollo has also done many worse things). Ares is the god of war and the definition of war is extreme violence, destruction, and the death of countless innocents. So, even if Ares may have protected some weak women and seemed quite righteous on the surface, in reality, he caused more deaths. (Uncle Rick was relatively lenient in shaping this character in his books indeed.)
Okay. Put me down, Big Guy. Percy Jackson and the Olympians
