Eeeehhhh so I should probably make this post.

Basically, for a while now, rping in the DMC fandom has been a little exhausting. It seems to me like it’s mostly just past interactions and remembering the things that bothered and disturbed me, despite how long ago they were, but I just have to say: over my tenure here there were quite a few things (and a few people here and there) that rubbed me the wrong way just a tad. Something has always made me feel off, and getting to restart in new fandoms with new muses has, so far, lifted a great deal of weight off of my shoulders that I couldn’t get rid of, no matter how much I enjoyed writing with certain partners, be it here on Sparda’s blog, or Dante’s, or Nero’s...

Suffice to say, my muse for Sparda is suffering too much to come on Tumblr and do replies. He’s being put on indefinite hiatus here — I’d still probably be willing to RP him and chat about him on Skype, but that’s likely the utmost extent of any continued attachment to this muse. It hurts a lot, and I miss writing him like hell, but I’m also so much happier with other muses. It’s really just... personal comfort, at this point.

It would have been wonderful to see him in action again. But by the time she’d get there to come for what was left of those who crossed his path. It was over from there. But she couldn’t complain. “Fine. I suppose I can step back on this one.”

“I’m actually quite young, you know... all things considered, anyway.” An awkward hand brushes some unpercievable dust from the lapel of his coat, a silent huff of air passing his lips. It wasn’t impossible to flatter the man, but to fluster to the point of such obvious coyness — that was a feat indeed.

“At the risk of sounding like a madman, even I find it odd that a man who doesn’t believe in fate could ever believe he was destined to be with someone... and yet here I am, nearly twenty years after she’s gone. It’s a strange thing for me to unload on you; I’m sorry. I just don’t know if I can talk about things like that so casually yet...”

“I am actually envious that your wife got to you first.” Letting out a sigh. “But we work better as friends.”

“But of course. I’m not even old enough for my own mid-life crisis yet... you can’t quite convince me you find it so hard to believe. But I can’t let you drag yourself into my problems; to do so would be both morally questionable and... quite inconsiderate of me.”

“Envious?” A brow raised, a soft chuckle rose in his throat. “Don’t mention such nonsense flattery, Death, please...”
