You can't spell Test without Testimony Two years ago was the epic fight of my life ever. My granny first time in the hospital. I had to watch as my superhero fight for her life as my family wasn't sure she'll make it. Life at that point was an all time low, but I got the job and my mindset was to fake it. Fake a smile, fake a laugh, just fake it; until, my first night closing. The people here was amazing, the stories was great for a poet being able to help people escape thier pain was special. I started to slowly open up until boom granny back in the hospital. Life hit me with an Haymaker, but what shocked everyone was I was so calm. Paramedics, doctors and nurse came to me for questions about my granny and I was able to answer them. My granny even called me in to see her. With her hands weak she tried to put her hands on my face. I leaned in close to me she open her eyes to asked me these questions I help back my tears and lied. "Did you eat?" Yes i ate (No I didn't ) "Did you sleep well?" Of course granny (pssh had night terrors every night) And this was the one that took the cake "How she doing?" She good (granny you do know I'm single right) After I was done lying I asked her "How you doing granny!?" She goes "Good but the food her sucks) After laughing I got the o.k to fight again. The o.k to laugh and the O.k. to smile because granny was alright. It was here I got the chance to fight once again. It was here those tears of pain became laughter of joy. It was two years ago that my granny was told she wasn't going to make it, yet she still fighting. Now her number one student wears a new mask. A mask he was afraid to wear now he embrace it. I bow my head in a humble way to truly say thank you for the great memories here. Because of this place the upcoming years I was able to get my smile and positive space back. To you I say thank you I was taught when you enter a place leave a positive impact.
