Why are you against using castor oil on your beard? It helps promote hair growth and keep it healthier. What do you prefer to moisturize it with?
This is a mad old ask but to clarify - I’m not against castor oil it’s just not going to promote much hair growth. If you spend .3 seconds looking it up you’ll see that it “improves blood flow abd promotes hair thickness” which is cool. But in my experience it does fuck all for actual beard growth. It doesn’t help with new growth.
So if you’re looking for new growth, I would recommend using a derma roller daily and taking a look at minoxidil. This will dry your face out so if you want to use some castor oil, go ahead. But personally the smell to me isn’t great(better than minoxidil but eh).
I have a nice beard wash and lotion I was gifted for Christmas. But you can enhance your castor oil w other essential oils because it’s a carrier oil. Or you can just use regular face moisturizer because your beard really won’t know the difference.
It’s up to you what you use on your face. But I just wouldn’t hold onto the belief hat castor oil is some magical oil. Just like people say lavender oil helps them so much to sleep, as an insomniac essential oils don’t do anything for my sleep even if they can be relaxing.
