2 babies and 3 on the way. For anyone wondering, the entire okra plant is edible! It's related to hibiscus and the flowers can be eaten or made into tea, the young leaves can be sauteed or used in soups, and the seeds can suprisingly be ground and used in a tea or pressed for their oil. #thishasbeenokrafactswithstephanie #cannibalizeyourchildren #imean #gardening
Here are just some of the hundreds of okra seeds we've been harvesting. Our okra did better than anything in our garden as earlier in the summer many of our crops didn't make it due to heat, heavy rain, or neglect. It also produces okra pods and flowers every week despite being stunted by a pumpkin vine which tried to choke it out early in its development. Okra: 10/10 would recommend!!!
Because I haven't posted the food I make in a long time. 👻 Roasted root vegetables (carrots/potatoes/radishes marinated overnight in oil, salt, pepper, &chili powder) and spinach salad with homemade turmeric garlic dressing and hemp seeds. #tldr #fallfood #foodporn #vegan #vegetableporn #vegetables #healthy
