PSA: I Might Be Coming Back!

Hey guys. So I know I haven’t talked to a lot of people on here since....I left lol. But I’ve got some news! Since I’m currently on break from college, I might make a new blog for Kitty. I really miss everyone over here and I find myself missing roleplay quite a bit.

I didn’t plan on posting it over here, but I figured in case anyone was still following me over here, I’d make the notice! It’s gonna take a little time for me to work her muse completely back (especially since they’ve changed and there will be a story for why they have been gone for over a year). But I really hope I can bring her back and get to roleplay with everyone again, whether we’re old partners or new ones! :3))

Farewell to Roleplay

((I’m really, really, really sorry I have to say this. I really am.

But unfortunately, my promises to be active are gonna have to be broken. Because not only is my muse for Kitty gone, my entire motivation for roleplay has come to a close. 

So yes, this account is dead, and I won’t be roleplaying for quite a long time. Unless I can figure out how to get my muse back, or come up with a new one, I’m retiring from roleplay.

It’s been a lot of fun. Roleplay has left a huge impact on my life, and I’ve gotten to meet so, so many wonderful people because of it. And I still love every single one of my roleplay partners to pieces. But sadly, I just have lost all motivation to do so.

It’s not necessarily a permanent retirement. And in addition, I might -might- get the idea for a new muse or get my muse for any of my current muses back. But as of now, I’m done with roleplay.

This account won’t be dead yet. I’ll possibly leave with a thank you message when I get the time, or maybe I’ll change my mind. But yes, the chances of me being active in roleplay are next to zilch at this point. 

If you’re wondering where I am, I’m mostly on my personal (memekinggreed) and on my web reviewers sideblog (thecinememesnob). I may also be making an ask blog or two with a friend but yeah.

Okay, I really, really hate to do this again-but I’m gonna be moving my blog one more time. I promise this will be the very last time I do it, but I really, really wanna kick in my motivation to roleplay once more and I am so sorry to all the people I’ve been keeping waiting/doing this thing where I say I just need to get off for a few minutes and then not be on for a week. So if I organize one more time, as well as have everything on my blog set up long before I open it up for business (instead of trying to get both threads and updated info done at once), it’s going to work out much easier. Don’t worry, my muse isn’t getting rebooted (albeit I’m really hoping I can step out of my comfort zone with how I write her and do more unique things/interact with more people) and I’ll continue threads and all. I just really need to reboot the account. I am going to need a few days or so to set up the blog, so even if I make it soon I’m going to hold off on giving out the link until every single thing has been set up. I might go with a different url, I might keep this one-idek, but yeah. Thank you all so much for your patience, and I hope to continue roleplaying with you all soon. (Also, this account isn’t being left yet-I’ll send in some asks and such-but when it officially is I’ll put up a post and set it in the queue about the movie.

“…Are you okay?” Despite how soft her voice was, there was concern in it as she held her umbrella over the other to protect this person from the rain. It was such a dreary day, how could anyone not have an umbrella? Of course, by doing that she was getting drenched from the weather instead.

“Ah?” Kitty finished pulling up their hood before noticing that water suddenly wasn’t hitting their clothes. They blinked in confusion for a second, until they slowly looked up to see a woman standing there. This seemed a little out of the blue, but Kitty knew better that to possibly complain.

“Oh y-yeah, I’m fine-but thank you so much. I mean, I have my hood but thank you so much!”

Hi there! I'm a new rp blog and I've never rped on tumblr before, I'm struggling with finding more partners. My friend who joined with me has been really busy lately so we haven't been able to rp much together. What's the tumblr etiquette in partnering with someone? and what actually are starter calls? Please and Thank you for taking the time to read!

Tagging. If a blog has a hyphen, for example dear-indies, you’d drop it and put the words together so it would be dearindies. Always tag your replies and starters with the other roleplayer’s URL so they can find it easily.

Starter calls. Starter calls are a great way to start interactions. Most roleplayers make a “like for a starter post” which is pretty self explanatory, if a roleplayer liked the post then you’d make them a starter or if you like one of those posts then they’d make you a starter. Those posts can also say “starter call” and it’s the same thing.

Mutuals only. A starter might be tagged with mutuals only and that means the roleplayer only wants people who are following them and they follow back to reply, someone suggested the term a mutually following to help remember.

Read rules/guideline pages! Rules/guideline pages are there for a reason so please read them before interacting. If you’re unsure of what to put in yours then there’s a guide here you might find useful.

Plotting! Don’t ask a roleplayer if they’d like to plot and then expect them to think of an idea. It’s nice if you both contribute. Most people have a wishlist or a wishlist tag so if you’d like to message a roleplayer presenting them with something from there that’d be a great start.

You said that you’re new to Tumblr roleplaying but if you’re new to roleplaying I’d just like to highlight the following: Don’t control other characters. The first part of thetrolliestcritic’s guide has some really good definitions of god-modding, meta-gaming, and power-playing. The other part of their guide is about etiquette in group roleplays so that’s not applicable. Don’t pester for replies! Be considerate! Remember that roleplayers have lives. They might feel like only replying to certain threads or characters some days. There’s a line between asking people if they’ve replied yet and pestering so please keep that in mind. Don’t force ships! No one likes forced ships.

Don’t be afraid to go to people. Don’t expect people to come to you. Follow people. Send messages. Treat people how you’d like to be treated. There are so many guides to independent roleplaying and we even have a tag, but you learn by doing, so if any of our followers would be interested in helping out somebody new to Tumblr roleplay like the post!

Facts: Introvert Or Extrovert?

Even though they may not seem so, Kitty is actually an extrovert. Even they have a hard time understanding it, but the reason they may often appear tired and more....out of it when someone finds them alone is because they get their energy from being around people. This doesn’t exactly help them into being a social butterfly, but it is better for Kitty to be around people they trust-not a ton of people or at super huge public events, but just good friends/lovers and to have a nice time with those people. 

However, another reason it can be hard for them to recognize is not just because of their shyness, but because of their worries of whether they deserve to be around people or not.

Though gotta admit, a design is kinda hard to pick, given that it’s gonna kinda be there forever
